  1. Sorry, but I don't really keep up with college football, so I wouldn't be much help there.
  2. I read here before that the more games you win in season mode, the tougher the computer gets. I'm using Drummers latest 2K13 rom, and as the Cleveland Browns, I won my first two games against the Eagles and the Bengals. They were close victories. When I try to play the next game against the Buffalo Bills, I get completely rolled over. I threw 7 interceptions in one game, and in another, I got tackled as a punter less than 2 seconds after snaping the ball, which has never happened to me. My offensive line just does not hold up at all, and trying to run the ball is a joke. So is it normal for the computer to spike the difficulty up this high all of a sudden? I thought it would be more gradual. I know Drummer used a few hacks in his rom, but I wasn't expecting the Bills to beat me that bad after having two close but winnable games. Also, how many games on average do you need to win in order to get to the play-offs? Also, when I go to play a pre-season game, the computer seems tougher there than usual too. Is that normal, or am I just imagining that? Edit: I decided to take the loss like a man. Got a lucky safety and pushed enough to get a field goal, but I still lost. Lost my next game to the Ravens, which wasn't as bad, but I could still tell the AI was pretty strong. The AI decided to back off then, and I got wins against the Bengals and the Giants. My next game is against the Colts, so hopefully the AI puts up a good fight, but doesn't plow me over. My current record is 4-2-0, and I'm right under the Ravens in the AFC north. I know the AI is going to be tougher in a juiced rom, I just wasn't expecting the beating that I received from the Bills. I'd still like to have a general idea of how many wins I should try to get in order to get to the playoffs, and if season mode results effect preseason mode AI.
  3. Can someone walk me through how to set this up and start a game successfully? I tried extracting everything to one folder, and "tsbultra.exe" loads correctly, but when I start a game, it gets stuck on "Setting Tecmo Super Bowl Ultra Teams...". I let the number get to 10,000 before shutting it off. I tried again, same thing. Also, clicking on "tsbultra50.exe" showed an error window (can't find tsbhelper), and now it does nothing when I click on it. Last, Knobbe said earlier in this thread you could adjust certain hacks like "juice". Where do you set things like that?
  4. Thanks for the update Drummer. Looking forward to playing it. Best wishes to you and your family.
  5. I just had a pretty cool moment playing your 2K12 EOS rom, Drummer. I'm posting it here, though, since your 2K12 thread has been quiet for some time now. When reading this, keep in mind that I'm not that great at TSB. I was playing a preseason game against the CPU to re-create the playoff game between the Steelers and the Broncos. I got beat pretty bad (16 to 30-something), so I figured I'd go ahead and play the next game in the series, New England Patriots (Me) vs. Denver Broncos (CPU). Near the end of the game, I was starting to feel confident with the lead I had built up (28-17), when the Broncos get a touchdown, bringing it to 28-24. They kick off pretty deep into my end zone, and I was only able to run the ball out around the 11 yard line before being tackled. I start getting nervous about a safety, and what happens next? The CPU Defense picks my play twice. Safety. 28-26. Broncos get the ball, but with around a minute left. I start joking around to myself, thinking that Tebow is about to pull off a huge win here, but I try and keep my cool. Here's where it gets interesting. Tim Tebow throws a pass, which is intercepted by the Pats. I start running, thinking "Now I got this, I'll just run out the clock, right?" Wrong. As I'm tackled, fumble! Broncos get the ball back and drive it up to about the 35 Pats yard line, with about 12 seconds left on the clock. I think they're going to pass, but they run instead, and their running back pulls away from the defense as the clock runs out. Touchdown! 28-33 F. The Broncos are heading to the AFC Championship game against the Ravens. I think the Broncos had about 370 rushing yards in this game too. I definitely want to keep this going and see how far the Broncos can get, so I'm playing as the Ravens now. Even though I lost, it was a lot of fun to play and watch, and it will be a cool Tecmo Super Bowl moment for me to remember. Great work on the roms Drummer!
  6. Excuse me, I feel an Andy Rooney moment coming on. Here it comes... Why is it that so many people seem to prefer the NES version of TSB over the SNES version? Until earlier tonight, I had only played the NES version. I was signing up for the TPC when I noticed that it supports the SNES version as well, so I gave it a shot. From first appearances, it seems just as good, if not better (thanks to graphical updates) than the NES version. Does the SNES version have problems under the hood I haven't noticed yet? Is it harder to modify and update? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question. I'm relatively new here, and I was just curious.
  7. Hi Buck, Just wanted to say thanks for making this incredible ROM update! I especially like the new defensive formations. I'm not very good at it yet, since I haven't been playing TSB as long as many others here, but I'm happy to report that I won my first pre-season game! Cleveland (Me) vs Cincinnati (COM), 23 to 7. Sure, I got a few lucky fumbles, but it's a heck of a lot better than I usually do. Anyways, keep up the great work!
