  1. Ach, Gannondork fumbles twice in the playoff vs the Saints, and the Vikings lose hard in the Wildcard round. Oh well, 'twas a fun run. Browner ended up with 9 INT and 32 sacks. Fullington chipped in with a paltry 2 / 3.
  2. So proud of my Gannon star today. In the midst of a heated race, not only for the division but for home field advantage throughout the playoffs, the Vikings fall behind 7-0 early in a week 13 match-up vs the Lions. With Joey Browner making a comeback on D (safeties only season), Rich Gannon does his part when Vikings leader WWilson is injured. He completes 9/10 passes and scrams for 30yd. The Vikings earn their game-winning safety in OT.
  3. Thanks! I was lucky to be recording it. I've decided to forego recording my current Vikings safeties only season.
  4. All good stuffs! Can't remember how that one panned out. I'm pretty sure I threw a pick before the season was through. I'll have to check my saved states and report.
  5. Touche! I've been experimenting with ways be make clearer vids with FCEUX.
  6. Indeed, this has been my ironclad philosophy during my Fulcher and Carrier seasons. Plenty of times I would fumble into my opponents' end zone, then recover accidentally for a touchdown. Add to this the several times I accidentally scored touchdowns offensively, and all told I had quite a few resets. This time around I've decided I won't reset for accidental defense touchdowns, esp if they are a badass 0yd INT TD. In that case I will 1) not kick my extra point, and 2) simply allow the other team to score a TD. Since it's not total points scored that matters in playoff clinching and seedings -- point differential is the deciding factor -- I figure taking a 1-pt penalty is a fair substitute for not hitting RESET.
  7. The opening seconds of this vid show Joey Browner returning a Chris Miller INT 0 yards for a score. Righteous! While exciting, this was also a bit annoying. I'm doing my third "safeties only" season with the Vikings, having done one with Fulcher's Bengals and another with Carrier's Bears. During the "safeties only" challenge, you're supposed to: 1) play only as your team's safeties, and 2) score ONLY by 2-point safeties. = Wups!!!
  8. Luck granted! After that, maybe you should do a Young journey. You know, see if the padawan can match his master.
  9. Nice! Looks like old Shroe Shroe is busy in the ground game as well.
  10. I just completed a "Safeties Only" regular season with the Bengals. I went 10-6. "Safeties Only" means you can only score by safeties. You can play offense, but on defense you can only play as your strong safety and free safety. I recorded 65 safeties. I never scored any other way.
  11. Approaching the end of my second ever "Safeties only Season" with the Bungles. Fulcher, Brooks and Co. just beat their division rival Steelers (my first choice for safeties only season), and I'm on my way to the playoffs as either the 2nd or 3rd seed. With one week left in the season, four AFC teams have clinched playoff births. What's exciting is there are six AFC teams hanging on for dear life for the coveted fifth and sixth spots. WHO WILL THEY BE?!?! I won't post the answer until I've got at least three guesses.
  12. I raise a glass to the health of George Adams and Marvin Allen, as each is in competition to become the last living Patriots running back. Also -- no deceased kickers or quarterbacks yet.
  13. Get ready for Dick Dick and the Houston Spoilers! Hopefully Brian Brennen taps into his inner-MVP talent and help the Brownies make a Super Bowl run.
  14. This has probably already been answered somewhere -- how is parking at the Badger Bowl?
  15. My records show I have quite a few of the cards on your list, thanks to my undertaking a similar quest about a year ago. I'll PM with details -- maybe we can arrange a trade.
  16. I'm pretty certain point differential is used to determine Div winners between teams with the same record. Also, would win % be considered a tie-breaker?
  17. Quite a gauntlet to wrap up the regular season. Dropped three to the Eagles, one to the Redskins, two each to the Broncos (EMBARRASSING) and Saints (don't even want to talk about it). All told, that's 15 regular season resets. This challenge is beast! On to the playoffs ...
  18. Giants got me one last time, as did the Niners, bringing the loss total to 7. On my second try I tied the Niners in OT just for the helluvit.
  19. Dropped three to the Giants, then one apiece to the Vikings and Falcons. A total of seven "losses" so far. This is tough stuff!
  20. First four weeks with the Cardinals and I've already got two "losses" against the Cowboys. Going to be a long, but fun, season.
  21. For a fun twist, I'm going to begin a season with the Cardinals. I'm going to play through a whole season, but only save it after each shut-out. I wonder how many attempts it will take to rack up sixteen donuts.
