The Battle of Vicksburg Organizational Ideas

To be honest, if I would advertise my tourney it could be as big as y'all are wanting it to be. The only help I would need is a pre paying system and advertising on yalls behalf. I have never been interested in a huge tourney as much as I was in a quality tourney. What is it that we are trying to accomplish, 40 quality players in one location? If so, we can accommodate that in our annual tourney. Just a thought and no one has to chase a rabbit. I have plenty of nes systems, controllers, and cartridges on my own. I can also get a place that would be big enough.

    ArkLaTex Tecmo 2012-2013 Rankings

Love the write up! It sucks to see David ahead of me knowing that I can beat him at will but somehow I have ended up on the losing twice against him. Will not happen again. My sights are set on the trophy from here on and not just having fun, LOL! I might even pull a Boudreaux and go outside and kick the curb, LOL! Great job and congrats on another championship.

    ArkLaTex Tecmo Rankings

I love this regional ranking page. Now it is time for me to start playing my true game and claim my rightful spot at #1! Brent, you forgot to mention my that I won the first SWLA TSB tourney without loosing a game. In the second SWLA tourney (I finished 3rd) I was able to handle all the boys from Wisconsin except for Chet. In that same tourney I had to beat Jack (I was TB he was SD) in the single elim tournament to move on and beat Rico (we used pro bowl teams) from Wisconsin to then move on to lose by a fumble to Josh Holzbauer (I was Cin he was Chi). I played Chet (who won the tourney) after the tourney and he destroyed me(I was MIA he was KC). In the round robin portion, Jack did beat me. In the third SWLA tourney (double elim tourney) I beat Jack, then Tommy beat me, Then I beat Tommy, Then Jack beat me. Therefore Jack moved on to play you. He beat you the first game and lost to you in the second game making you the Winner. I didn't play you in the tourney so I played you afterwards and you were MIN and I was TB and I beat you. In the fourth tourney, Sam beat you twice, I beat Sam twice, Jack beat me once, David beat me once (this will not happen again by the way, lol) and Jack went on to beat David and become the Champion without loosing a game! I didnt play you in the tourney so I played you again on the side and beat you again on TV #1. That now brings us to our first updated roster tourney. Due to some certain events we are just going to paraphrase this tourney and say Jack was the winner without loosing a game! But on the lighter side of things, we played a side game and we tied and we met up in the tournament and you beat me (this will not happen again by the way, lol). I am ok with your current rankings but know that they will change after each tourney with me moving up the charts, LOL! Everyone have an awesome week!

Tecmo Super Bowl Tournament NES Texas 8/18/2012

Looks like SnookieX9 put his foot in his mouth! Ask him how that leather taste eeerrrrr ask him how that Louisiana Hot Sauce tasted, LOL! SnookieX9 got drummed by Jack 37-3! LOL! Maybe Jack should have brought some of those scrubs with him so SnookieX9 could beat someone. Oh yea, I heard Brent Boudreaux, with his so called weak game, beat him also! Awesome! I can't wait to get my thumbs on SnookieX9 and show him how good he is not, lol! All fun and games though, have a great week!
  8. http://www.facebook.....tecmosuperbowl Mark your calendars now! July 28th we are having our first S.W. La. Tecmo Super Bowl 2k12 Updated rosters tournament! Cost will be $25. Every participant will be guaranteed to play at least 3 games and will receive a t-shirt! This will be a payout tournament for 1st and 2nd place. The payout will be determined by the amount of participants. These carts work great! No problems at all, very smooth play just like the original. Our rules and structure will be exactly the same as our original tourney except for one small change, players have to play their given positions. You can not put a wr at rb or te or vise versa. This change will also take place in our original annual tournament starting next year. Let me know ASAP if you would like to participate. No I dont have an advantage on this cart as I do not have one. I will not be getting the carts until later. I do have some carts of previous roster updates and that is how I know the product is great. Let me know if you have any questions. We will be playing at our usual host, The Huddle Up! We will start at 9:30 a.m. The contact information for Huddle Up is: Mark Leone 1103 West Prien Lake Road Lake Charles, La., 70601 (337) 656-2905 Below are the rules; 2K12 S.W. LOUISIANA TECMO SUPER BOWL TOURNAMENT Tournament Overview The tournament will begin with the “round robin” portion. 40 participants will be divided into 10 Groups. All four participants within each Group will play one another once (aka “round-robin” minimum of 3 games). After group play, the top two players from each group (20 players’ total) will advance to the double-elimination portion of the tournament. The 20 participants will compete in a double-elimination tournament until a champion is crowned. The players from group play will be seeded 1-20 by overall record and point differential (Note: a group winner cannot be seeded lower than 10). Seeds 11-20 will be 2nd-place finishers from group play. If two or more players have the same record and point differential, then the least amount of points allowed will break the tie. A game that ends in a tie is acceptable during the “round-robin” portion but not the double elimination portion. The Skunk Rule (winning by 28 points) will end a game and is implemented during both the “round robin” as well as the double elimination bracket. In the event of the Skunk Rule, the winner will receive +1 to their point differential of 28 for a total of 29. If the score is 28-0 (Skunk Shut-out) the winner will receive +2 to their point differential of 28 for a total of 30. *This is based on a 40 participant tournament. If there are a different number of participants, the format will remain the same. No matter how many participants we have, only the top 20 will advance to the double-elimination portion. Procedural & Game-play Rules Team Selection: A Rock, Paper, Scissors challenge (RPS) will precede each game. The winner will choose the matchup (i.e. the two teams). The loser then selects either (a) one of the two teams or ( his preferred controller. If the loser selects his preferred controller, the winner selects a team first. Customizing Playbooks and Lineup Changes: Customizing playbooks is permissible. You can access your “change” screen (screen where you check player conditions and make substitutions) only twice per half. This helps speed up the games. WR or TE at RB: This is a common inquiry and is NOT permissible. Ties: Although ties are permitted in the tournament’s “round-robin” portion, such are not permitted in the single-elimination portion of the tournament. If a game ends in a tie after overtime, a new game will begin, and the first player to score in the new game is the winner. In this case, the coin toss must be played out and not skipped. Bum Rushing (Lurching): Bum Rushing (Lurching), diving up the middle is prohibited. If you want to rush with a DL, you must either go outside the offensive tackle or “popcorn” someone on the offensive line. You cannot simply go around your blocker and dive. Nintendo Malfunctions: If there is an equipment failure in the first half, games will be replayed from the start. If equipment malfunctions in the 2nd half, only the second half is replayed. In that event, the scores from each half are added together to obtain a final score. If the game was uncompetitive or the equipment malfunctioned due to human error, the tourney organizers reserve the right to declare a winner without replaying any portion of the game. Skunk Rule: If you are losing by 28 points at ANYTIME during the game, the game will be considered over. This will help speed up the tournament. Tournament Disputes: There are 3 tournament referees. They will decide all disputes unless one of them is a player in the game. If one or two is a player in the disputed game, another person will assist the remaining referee(s) to resolve the dispute. Thanks for your participation!

    Anyone else do this?

During tournament play I do not but any other time, ABSOLUTELY! One of my favorite things to do, even during tournament play, is: when I am on offense and I am going in for a score, right before the goal line, I will briefly let go of the directional to do the HEISMAN before I score. My favorite of all time!
