  1. You know I'll be there and this year I will be MUCH more competitive in the mega man 2 race!
  2. I'm going to make a serious effort to attend this as well so pencil me in!
  3. Great job guys as always it was a lot of fun and it was great seeing everyone again! I hadn't touched a nintendo controller since the last CT tournament back in December but I think I played pretty well despite being rusty. Unfortunately I had the fumble bug the entire tournament, fumbling 2-3 times seemingly every game. I had to play Matty D the very first match and he knocked me into the loser's brackett with a solid 14-10 win PHX vs PIT. After that it was a long trek to the loser's finals, I think I had to win 4 games in a row to get there including a couple of blowout wins along the way. All of my games were even matchups including SD vs DEN, NE vs IND, MIN vs WSH and CLE vs GB. Loser's semis I had to take on Scott in a close game until I pulled away in the 4th quarter. Loser's final vs Matty he won the toss and chose CLE/GB matchup. I took GB and started with the ball and watched Woodside fumble it away on my side of the field. Easy 7 for Matty. Next possession I'm driving and again Woodside fumbles it away on a catch and run. Down 14-0 in the 1st quarter I thought it was over. Fought back to score 14-7 and I was able to stall Matt and a force a FG attempt. Harris flys in and gets the BLOCK. Kicker picks it up but my drones catch him before he can run for a first. End of he 2nd quarter I bomb it to tie it up 14-14. Matty comes out 2nd half and we trade scores. 4th quarter he scores again 28-21 leaving me 1:30 after the kickoff. Drive to midfield and attempt a couple of bomb jjs to Sterling but come up empty. Last play of the game I heave it to Sterling who makes the CC at the 3 yard line but is grappled down in triple coverage. Came up just short. Finals were 2 epic games from Brian and Matt. I would have recorded the matches but my digital camera ran out of batteries during the loser's semis. Great games guys looking forward to seeing most of you again for the NY tourney in October!
  4. searched for ya didn't come up with anything = [
  5. Hi all, I don't know how many of you are into RTS games, but if you played Sid Meier's Gettysburg/Antietam back in the late 90's/early 2000's as religiously as I did, then this new game is definitely worth looking into. This came out fall 2014 and won game of the year!!! I just picked it up a few weeks ago and I love it. It's only $15 and it's on Steam (meh, whatever). Not a huge community yet but take a look see. >http://youtu.be/3uVzzfMdrQc Add me on steam my handle is tadaos
  6. i thought the 25hp difference only mattered for DL/OL when they engage each other. Everyone else it's 50HP difference.
  7. Fun tournament as usual. Thanks again to Pete and Erik for running this thing. I'll post the final eight bracket when I get home later. A real shame that Mort and Louis couldn't attend and that Matty D was sick on arrival. But the show must go on! I went 2-1 in pool play as I was defeated by Danny K. 28-21 in a Chiefs/Dolphins match up. No top seed for me this time! My first single elimination match was against a guy who I played in the warmup session who I blew out in the 2nd half. Not so much in the tournament match right! Suprisingly a very tough game but I ended up with the victory. Right before the double elimination brackett (lose and you're out) I had to play Erik (arncoem) in a game that I really should not have won. Tecmo Gods decided differently and gave me two fumbles at perfect times, one which was housed 90 yards on a picked play to end the 1st half. The other was again once he drove into my redzone. Sorry Erik it just wasn't your game as I hung on to win with a Bengals/Bears match up. Once into the round of 8, I jumped up 21-0 on Jim Teta who selected a Raiders/Chiefs match up. I thought the Tecmo Gods were going to pay me back in spades as I watched that 21-0 lead turn into 21-14 in the 2nd half, and after a Marcus Allen (in GOOD) fumble I thought Jim would come back and tie the game. However my defense was able to hold and I clung to victory. Next match was against Pete who won the toss and picked the ugly Pats/Seahawks match up. Given my recent atrocities with Seattle (ask Brian Rause), I chose to go with N.E. and was able to win a grind-fest 22-10. Next up was the winner's brackett finals, where I had to meet the man who defeated me in pool play, Danny Knight. He won the toss and chose the Cardinals/Steelers matchup. I decided to play defense and grind. With the help of 3 Rod Woodson picks (and Brister throwing 2 picks himself, one in the redzone, ugh!) I kept the Cardinals off the board for the most part en route to 13-3 win. On to the grand finals! Danny K. was able to win his game to come back and face me for the championship. I have to win once, he has to win twice to win it all. After several defensive games, I won the toss and chose a more offensive minded (but even match up) Broncos/Chargers. He took San Diego, we both played very tough defense, we both fumbled, we both had wide open drops, he missed a long FG and it's 0-0 at halftime. Brutal. He draws first blood in the 3rd quarter by hitting a FG. 4th quarter I'm driving into his territory and B-Hump finally gets a block and gets out into the open field and houses it from 25 yards out to go up 7-3 with a little under 3 minutes in the 4th. Broncos defense is the "bend don't break" mode, trying to keep RBs in bounds and force SD to use up as much time as possible. He gets a couple of tough first downs on his side of the field. After a run stop, a picked play, 3rd and long he goes run3 down and Butts gets the some daylight to pick up about 40 yards into Broncos' territory. Tick tick tick we're under a minute now. The next 3 plays are run3, run3, run3. I keep him in bounds and under 10 yards per play. Tick tick tick 20 seconds to go, run3 again and Butts is stopped around the 15 yard line. One last chance, pass2 is picked by both of us and Tolliver laser's one into double coverage that's batted away. Broncos hang on for a 7-3 win! That big ass trophy is MINE! Lots of props to Danny Knight who improved dramatically from last years tournament. Way to go bro I hope to rematch you again next year! Thanks again to Erik and Pete for organizing this thing, I had a great time as usual!
  8. it also depends on the OL5 of the offense. If it's a stud it's harder to accomplish. it also depends on precise timing of the dive, if its off then you run by the OL and don't dive or get engaged by the blocker
  9. Thanks a lot to chuck for hosting. It was a fun tournament at a very nice venue. Kudos! Results were: 1) Sean Suchy (stalltak) 2) Brian Rause (chaosrison) 3) Kevin Smith (tadaos) 4) Matt DeGeorge (dynastygeorge) Tied 5th Pete Dorsey (cubantecmo) and Erik Merliss (arncoem) Finals games went like this: Winner's Brackett Finals Shawn beat me 17-7 ATL vs WAS Rypien looked horrendous throwing 3 picks. Loser's Brackett FInals Brian beat me 17-3 in an ugly NE vs SEA matchup. Kreig threw 3 picks to everyone BUT Ronnie Lippett. Wilson is able to bomb it to Marv Cook a couple of times and that was the game. Grand finals Shawn defeats Brian 10-7 TB vs SD. Brian had a chance on 4th and 4, 2 min to go, to kick a FG and tie it up but went for it and got picked off by Haddix. His defense holds and forces a punt. FInal shot with 15 seconds to go. In comes Vlasic in BAD and short arms one as time expires and Shawn hangs on to win it all. Great games everyone had a blast! Congrats to Shawn for bringing it home!
  10. i always just lined the arrow up with the holder. seems to work great for me
  11. the computer actually picks the same play sequence over and over until the 4th quarter then it becomes random. ex) run4, pass1, pass2, run1, run2, pass4 then it repeats that type of pattern until the 4th quarter. i'm not sure how many plays are in the sequence you'd have to ask bruddog.
  12. Great job as always by Pete and Erik for throwing a great tournament! Had a lot of fun despite going out early. Good to see everyone again!
  13. great game louis in was definitely an instant classic. looking forward to seeing you guys again at the CT tournament in December!
  14. i eat dark horses for breakfast. mmmmm dark meat it's not good for you but it's oh so delicious!
  15. ball control is fixed for QBs and kick/punt returners at 44 unless otherwise hacked
  16. so players with higher HP dive faster than others? or does this change the recovery time of said dive?
