  1. I love the rest of the repo rom so if it was same except for the 4-3 hack removed, is be grateful for that. 4-3 strays too far from the original game imho, and it makes tsbtool not work so you can't tweak it.
  2. Ahh ok. I've never been a fan of the 4-3 hack. I wish there was a repo rom that had everything BUT the 4-3 hack.
  3. I tried this hack on the repo ROM and for whatever reason, it freezes my powerpak when the CPU is on offense. I picked GB vs. Atlanta, and whenever the CPU handed the ball off, the game borked up. I'm hoping jstout can look into it, I sent him the files...
  4. Do you actually adjust the players ratings as well? Meaning, can you update it to 2014?
  5. Yeah, I tried IM'ing you yesterday but didn't see you online...I considering using the Tborg ROM, but if you have something better, hit me up...
  6. [RE: Original Tecmo Bowl] - from now on, I will be adding this tag to my posts so there isn't any confusion. Apparently it still confuses people that there are people who still play the original I was going to make a 2015 ROM, but got caught up bigtime in the RBI project and was burned out on ROM rating...that said, we have an RBI tourney coming up with my friends in November, and I'd love to have a playable TB32 ROM finished by then. I ain't promising anything this time, but I've started to flesh out the rosters, we'll see if this ever gets done.
  7. Hey! Thanks for the RBIBaseball.us advertisement on the screen! Just noticed that. Totally awesome...
  8. If you have any updates to the lineups, please let me know as there was a gap between when I did the lineups and finalized this version. The new RBI game for Xbox/PS3 killed my motivation for a bit, but after I realized it wasn't going to replace the original for me, I restarted the project.
  9. RBI 2014, Beta A is released! No, not the one from MLB with updated graphics and whatnot, but the one I put out every year with the updated rosters and 30 teams. If you find yourself not liking the iOS/Xbox/PS3 version, you can get my version at http://www.rbibaseball.us. Enjoy!
  10. The core ROM stuff happened and I have some editing spreadsheets setup to assist but I got real caught up in what teams to include (top 25 vs. tourney participants) and I let it slip. I just need to decide on a plan and do it next time. After my RBI ROM is finished I'd consider picking it up. Could also do a preseason ROM for next year.
  11. Really? I wasn't aware of any logos that did that...I've updated logos for a lot of teams and never ran into that. The other option is to blank all the large helmets out as they are rarely ever shown anyways...replace them with a single NFL image or something...elways' ROMs always had an image of the lombardi trophy...
  12. We could still tweak teams afterwards or add "star" players to the teams that need it. Parker, embid, wiggins, smart, etc.
  13. I don't get what you mean by backups. I was just making a spreadsheet of the top 32 and final 8 teams and then find where their uniforms could be shared and shuffle them around. Then I was going to use original ROM rosters to find out the best teams and match them up with current 2014 teams best we could I'll definitely solicit help with that process.
  14. Should we wait until final tournament seeding is announced before moving forward? That way we include the Top 25 teams and the remaining can be filled with editor's choice + top 25 outliers that made the tourney... Or, should we just stick with the list we have maybe tweaking a few teams. Ohio State is in now in the top 25, for instance.
  15. Hey guys, working on getting the teams in order. I haven't had a lot of people email me about doing rosters. I'm working on just getting the team uniforms/courts in the game correct. We kind of have a lot to do, but we kind of don't...
  16. Got a lot done today. Here's what I have left to put on the ROM: Southern Methodist Memphis Oklahoma Iowa Virginia Commonwealth (editor's choice) Miami (editor's choice) Indiana (editor's choice) UCLA (editor's choice) Ohio St. Harvard (orv) St. Joe's (orv) Green Bay (orv) Oklahoma St (editor's choice) Marquette (editor's choice) Stephen F. Austin I'm just filling in names and defaulting rankings/scoring/etc to 1 for now. I'll fix that shit later...I also have to do a ton of uniforms...time for a break!
  17. Are we just using the original ratings? How do we rank the players based on team need? I can take raw stats and convert them for import. I'll get you a dump of the original game in the format I need.
  18. If you have a player randomizer that's cool. Saves me from having to write one. Another option is to somehow randomize based on a profile. 3pt, defense, balanced and have it generate teams that way.
  19. To anyone offering to do teams, remember to shoot me an email. Today I did a little coding on my editor...the first phase is a web based one with no security and the ability to edit one ROM only. The goal is to shore this up at a later point in time, but right now it serves to make the yearly ROM edit easier to do. I sorted through MT's docs, and as of right now I have the full uniform editor working, complete with the teams that share uniforms/courts, and the one team that shares only courts but not uniforms... I'm going to go through this and start adding the base teams to the ROM, replacing ones that aren't in it this year as we discussed a few threads up...
  20. Where are you putting that? Any changes you make to rom locations will break my in progress code. I wouldn't worry about that extra flair until after we have a good base rom to work with. Also, let's talk more about this randomizer. It might be a good way to fill rosters. I'd like to discuss it more.
  21. Hurricane, it'd be cool to have logos done, but for ease of updating (and in case you get hit by a bus, even though I can draw them too) I'd like the ability to have them blanked out, which I guess I could do in TLP myself I just think it's easier to crank out a game that way since the logos would likely change a lot year to year, unlike the NFL. Even though the logos do look cool...
  22. Ok, see my post above, edited. I added teams in to fill in the stuff, mostly based on ORV's, editor's choice, and whatnot.
  23. For those of you who offered to do teams, please shoot me an email (travis at jansens dot us) and I'll get you the info...
