  1. Geez. I feel this way about the Giants way more than the 49ers. Okay, maybe not "way" more. But i'd definitely make the Giants that one nullified team. I definitely do not feel this way. I explained myself in the previous posts, and I don't know how that doesn't make sense. It's funny how you say ... okay, well not "way" more. Like you're starting to realize that the 49ers are the Chuck Norris of Tecmo.
  2. Announcement please, and everything is updated as of right now. Thanks.
  3. That is a question I'm going to bring up. Thanks and welcome to TecmoDome.
  4. There will be a producer of the game calling in at 10:30 p.m. eastern time. Hope you guys can tune into the show!!! Should be a good one!
  5. I need a call back from public relations at Tecmo Inc. I may have someone coming on the show on Sunday to talk about Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff's release and its fan reaction. Keep your fingers crossed
  6. Sent you an email Holzy. The Vogts are coming definitely. And yes, let me know if there is anyway to receive Wi-Fi up there so that I can podcast the tournament LIVE on Tecmo Talk Radio. Thanks, man!
  7. This segment will be all talk about Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff. Callers are all welcomed to give their insight about the game if they've played it. 24: Redemtion is on from 8 - 10 p.m. eastern time so the show is moved to 10:30 p.m. Sorry, guys, but I am a big 24 freak. 8. Here's my logic behind that, Bruddog. I feel as though Houston, Buffalo and New York are all comparable teams. I also feel as though it is easier to play against those teams, using those teams, than it is with those teams playing against San Francisco. But that's how it's going to be this year, and probably from here on out.
  9. San Francisco is nullified from the tournament. Play the game like you know how!
  10. Orgination skills make you rich. Face your money, and you'll save money.
  11. Brian, it's the NFL Draft weekend in April, just like it was last year ... If you're in, you're in ... If you're not, pay no attention to it ... But what you need to know is there for now ...
  12. Hey, the Las Vegas was made known earlier than the Midwest was announced! And I know that the tourney in OHIO is going for sure. I've already had one, and beef has not made a definite on his. Our's is for sure, like I said Brian, the NFL Draft weekend on Saturday. Just as it was in 2008, BUB! Read her!
  13. 2009 Midwest Tecmo Super Bowl Tournament When: NFL Draft Day; Saturday, April 25, 2009; Registration is at 11:30 a.m.; Tournament starts at Noon Where: Symmes Tavern on the Green, 500 Wessel Drive, Fairfield, Ohio, 45014 Who: Anyone who loves to play Tecmo Super Bowl Buy-in: $20; $10 for food, server tip and room fees; $10 for tournament buy-in Prizes: First Place - 2009 Midwest Tecmo Super Bowl Tournament trophy and cash; Second Place - Runner-up trophy, cash and a tournament banner; Third Place - Cash and a tournament banner; Fourth Place - Cash and a tournament banner. Other banners will be raffled out, as well as a Miller Lite winter cap and McDonald's gift certificates. Tournament play: It will be a "World Cup" style of format. When everyone's signed in on Saturday, we will have a 10-15 minute introduction of how the tourney will be managed, mentioning of sponsors, introducing players and praising the Tavern of Symmes for letting us use their facility. We will draw, out of a hat, pools of four. Everyone will play each participant in their respective pool once. When everyone has their games in, we'll calculate the tournament seedings by records and point differentiation in each pool. This basically means, play at your best during pool play, whether if you're winning or losing. It could mean the world of difference for who you'll play in the tournament. It will be a single-elimination tournament. Everyone will be placed into the tournament according to their seeding. So expect to play at least four games. The 6 Team Tiers: HOU, BUF, GIA ... CHI, RAI, PHI ... CIN, KC, MIA ... SD, TB, DEN, DET, MIN, RAMs, WAS ... DAL, PHX, ATL, PIT, JETs ... IND, NE, CLE, NO, GB, SEA --- San Francisco will be nullified from Midwest Tournament play. Sorry! ***You will only be able to use a team once during the whole tournament, which means both pool play and the single elimination tournament. You will flip a coin to see who chooses their team first. The player who wins the toss chooses their team, then the opponent choses their team from that tier or lower. The player who chose their team first, can then have the opportunity to switch their team to another team of that tier or lower if they want. The player who lost the toss gets to pick whether they want home/away or in other words, left/right side. Pool play begins. ... During tournament play, a coin toss will determine who gets to choose their team first, and the same format applies when choosing teams and home/away as it did in pool play.*** 9 Simple Tournament Rules: 1. Have Fun! 2. No throwing equipment or intentionally damaging equipment. Doing so will result in a forfeit from the tournament. 3. No looking at opponent’s controller or eye movement when picking plays. 4. If equipment fails during the game, games will be replayed from the start unless it is halftime. After halftime, scores are taken from the first half and another half is played. Scores from each half are added together to form final score. Kickoffs are as they should have been if malfuntioned game had played through. 5. NO lurching (dive tackling over the line of scrimmage with a DL). DL is allowed, but you must either drop back into coverage or go outside the offensive tackle to rush. 6. Onsides kicks are okay anytime (aka, “at your own risk”). 7. Fourth man down (ROLB) is allowed for use on XPs, not FGs. Also, no WR at RB. 8. Playbook changes are allowed. 9. Discuss on whether the two opponents before the game starts if they would like to see in-game coin toss or not. It is random, so it doesn't matter. I, myself, prefer to see the actual toss. So discuss it amongst yourselves. I would advise if the toss is witnessed. But that's not my call. Talk to each other. ***If both parties agree to forego any of rules 5 through 9 before a game, then it’s acceptable.*** Please post here if you are interested. Thanks. 17. The tournament was a success, and it was a damn good time. David Fulcher is willing to work with me in hopes of having a Cincinnati Tecmo Invitational later on in the year to help his multiple sclerosis foundation drive. If we help him, he'll help us. I'll keep everyone posted. If anyone would like to check out some photos of the tournament, my friend Dale took about 250 and has posted them on costco pics. If anyone would like to see them ... drop me an email at [email protected], and I'll set you up. Thanks. Chris

  20. The following response is from an email I dropped to David Fulcher a while back: "Hey Chris I would love to hang with you guys and check out your tournament. I've got a few of my bobbleheads left and would like to bring them with me. They are 20 dollars and the proceeds go to my foundation for MS. Let me know if that's ok. David fulcher" This might persuade some people to come to this thing! See you there .... now!
