  1. https://www.mesen.ca/docs/hdpacks.html#using-the-hd-pack-builder I may mess with this myself...
  2. I discovered this video today.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYDzL5hVzSM&ab_channel=St1ka Has anyone given this a shot with Tecmo? Seems like some possibilities here!
  3. Hey guys, im planning a Tecmo Bowl party next sunday and I was kinda wondering if anyone had any ideas. Basically I was gonna have 6 to 8 people play, have them buy in with their team, or maybe 2 depending on the turn out. Entire season, all games played (custom schedule where all games are man vs man) winner of the Super Bowl takes all. Along the way I was gonna run a little side "sports book" where people could make side bets and such. Just make an entire day of it. Just curious if anyone has ever tried anything like this and how it' worked out and ideas people have tried. Also, being that the skill level of the players involved is pretty varied, any ideas to kinda "level the playing field" for everyone involved. Thanks!
  4. Could the current 32 team rom be updated to include one more team per division? 5 teams per division, like the 28 team rom, just with the 2 extra divisions.
  5. Excuse me if this has been done or covered (couldnt find anything relating in search.) But is it possible for teams to have 3 color uniforms? Basically the helmet and pants colors being different? Can this somehow be hacked?
  6. I mostly played this sim style... I loved the arcadey "franchise mode" this game had... with the free agency, the 3 trade rule and the created players who actually progressed as time went on... me and my friends would each choose a team, make ourselves as players on our teams and sim through about 10 seasons, see who could "gm" their team to the most championships. It was quite amazing how by like the fifth season every player had switched teams...lol I seem to recall this kept career stats as well? And handed out MVP awards and such... between this and old EA Sports College Football USA 97 (i think that was the first game in the series to incorperate recruiting and multiple seasons) we would kill about like 10 hours simming season after season... so sad... lol If I could just take TSB I and give it the offseason options of TSB3... maybe toss in a rookie draft option... that would be heaven to me... =]
  7. Has anyone ever done this, or thought of doing this? I mean played EVERY game.. just picking a team for every game on the schedule and seeing how crazy things would be by the end of the season? Like having a ton of RBs with like 3000-4000 yards, or having like all the sucky teams have monster records and the good teams losing records. Depends on how you would decide to pick what team to be in each game. Ive been thinking of doing it, tho i imagine it would take forever to finish. Just curious... =]
  8. Im kind of a programming newb. I can do a bit of C++ and some BASIC... just enough to make some console based text games, including a football game that had statistics, but im not formally trained, tho I do plan on attending school for it. Anywho... Ive been a "lurker" in the Tecmo scene for years... I made a few roms and posted them waaay back in the day, probably on some site that isnt even in existence anymore. But for the most part ive just kind of kept an eye on the scene. I love tecmo, and I love football. I love football video games... but basically.. Im sick of the lack of innovation being shown by EA. Tecmo has come a long way in terms of hacking and updating the game... but I was wondering what the level of difficulty would be to just reprogramming the entire game. Not a rom... but just making a new pc game. Allowing for all the features that are unhackable to be put into the game... such as 32 teams, realignment, a franchise mode perhaps? Like I said... Im not very far when it comes to programming... But I was just curious if maybe some of the efforts that have been made at rom hacking and creating editors might be better served going towards just a rewrite of the game... obviously unliscenced and not named tecmo for legal reasons... and freely distributed.... but a new game with the classic tecmo gameplay and some fresh new features. Or perhaps a front-end type program? Basically the league aspects of the game would be hand programmed but when it came to playing the games, it would fire tecmo up with the neccisary teams and play it out? (or is that what Tecmo Ultra was supposed to be? I havent really researched it much.) Im not sure I posted this in the correct forum... if I did not, I apologize. Thanks guys!
