  1. It does depend on how often you use the backs, so lorenzo White's ball control is basically irrevelant; who the hell runs the ball with the Oilers anyway? Metcalf, when not injured, is always in Bad condition and fumbles consistently. There's no use in even putting him in the lineup.
  2. I've got 9 KR TDs and 4 PR TDs with Rathman so far, and I'm only in week 11. He's got a solid 43.6 KR average. So, what's the best performance you've had throughout a season as far as KR/PRs are concerned?
  3. I had this performance yesterday in a divisional playoff game. I had 7 safeties. Okoye returned three kickoffs for TDs. Mike Webster, David Szott and Bill Maas each had a TD. The only other TD came from Deberg to Thomas.
  4. That might be the most hilarious screenshot I've ever seen.
  5. I, in fact, am naive on how to create a TSB rom, so I'm a little curious about why its so hard to fix misspellings. There are a ton of them that I see. Other small things I've noticed: As a fantasy football freak, I have read all over the place that Zachary Hilton is expected to overtake Conwell as the Saints' starting TE. As it is, you don't have Hilton on here at all. Priest is very injured, at least until late October, and very well might retire this year. He should not be a starting RB. The same thing goes for Marshall Faulk, who is out for the entire year, and very well might retire this year. He shouldn't be a starter. I believe the leading candidate for the KR and PR positions for the Dallas Cowboys is Tyson Thompson. Tuna has said several times that he plans on getting Thompson, a scorching fast RB, some extra playing time this year. He should at the least be on this roster. I would personally set Boldin's HP a little higher, as he's a bruising WR, and have Fitzgerald's receptions stat highered a bit, as he is known for his impeccable ball-catching skills. This is nitpicking though, I suppose. Ricky Williams just broke his arm... playing in the CFL... and probably shouldn't be in this game. As a student at the University of Texas, I do love Vince Young. However, Billy Volek is the understood starter of the Titans (as of now). You were being extra nice to SF QB Alex Smith when dishing out his stats. With the horrid year he had last year, he really deserves nothing more than Groganesque stats. That's what I saw upon initial inspection of all the teams. Sorry I can't help you as much on the defensive side, but as I said I'm a fantasy football buff so I know a lot more about the offensive side of the ball.
  6. I'm Phoenix, and I'm playing SF in Week 12. Good for nothing Johnny Johnson is injured, and Haley and Holt are breaking through the line on almost every play. The Montana/Rice and Montana/Taylor connections are working great for SF in the 1st half, and at the end of it I'm down 14-7. The 3rd quarter goes by nicely as I'm finally connecting on passes, and I begin to hunker down on defense. I score twice and at the beginning of the fourth quarter its 21-14 me. Montana refuses to go down without a fight, and a rediculous catch and run by Rice ties it. Vai Sikahema generously coughs up the ball on the next kickoff, and the 9ers get the ball at the 21. Its not long before Montana gets yet another TD. SF is up 28-21. I get the ball back, Vai redeems himself a bit and gets the ball to midfield with just over a minute left. I struggle with all my might, but I finally get the ball over the goalline with 21 seconds left. So now I'm thinking "Ok, I'll kick it deep and run the time down, do some good deeds in OT and win." I'm thinking all this, however, before the extra point has been kicked. It turns out the planning ahead was all for naught. I tap the A button a couple of times, and quickly gasp in horror as I realize the arrow started ALL the way at the bottom. My tapping is too fast, my reflexes too slow. The ball and goalpoast animation comes up, and sure enough the ball dinks off the post. I stare jaw ajar as I come to understand that I just lost the game on a missed extra point. I failed to recover the onside kick, SF went on to victory, and I'm sure I will never forget my most shameful moment in TSB history.
  7. Sarcasm aside, I stick to my statement. Deep in the playoffs when the Chicago defenders are outrunning my go-route receivers, I'm choosing to let Timm Rosenbach sail it high instead of Elway hitting him, and the defender(s), right on the dot.
  8. I've come to realize that I actually prefer a bad(although not terrible) QB over a very very accurate one. I like a QB who constantly throws over the heads of receivers because it consistently allows them to jump out of coverage and catch the ball. If all your WRs are covered and you're stuck with a Jim Kelly or Montana, you'll end up throwing right to the covered receiver, and he'll more than likely drop it. If you have Tim Rosenbach or Rodney Peete, however, you'll be able get away from that same coverage.
  9. Cunningham is godly. When I use the Eagles I NEVER use a running play. I just pick a pass, and if everyone is covered, I'll run for the first down. Its close to impossible to be stopped, even deep into the playoffs.
  10. I'm curious as to why someone hasn't created a TSB flash game yet. Obviously it wouldn't be the same as the original, but it could be serviceable and incredibly fun. Afterall, there are a few great Super Mario knockoffs, so why not a TSB knockoff?
  11. I've seen Cleveland win their division one time with a 10-6 record. I think that's the most surprising record I've ever seen to be honest.
  12. Johnson and Matthews are pretty good, and since they're in the 6 and 7 spots, you can defend against most plays. The QB is a solid runner and passer, Mack is a good runner (Metcalf is when he isn't injured), and slaughter is a good WR, so getting points is no problem.
  13. I went 13-4 with a first round playoff loss using the Green Bay Packers. I just couldn't beat chicago. Neal the Deal toasted me everytime, and when I saw I had to play them in the first round, I knew I was screwed.
  14. I just won the championship with Cleveland... without Metcalf. I can't even believe how fragile he was. He got injured a total of six times throughout the season, and only lasted more than a whole game once. So basically, everytime except once he would come back and get injured again that very same game.
  15. Are there two harder plays to defend against than Toss Sweep R and Pitch L Open(think the Patriots' first and third plays)? They don't bother too much against NE b/c NE blows, but when I go against NYG or CHI, I'm forced to continually pick that running play for almost the entire game. I have never found a good way to defend against Sweep R, and the only chance I have against Pitch L is to use the top(left) OLB to swing around and reach the back before he gets out of the backfield. Even then, though, you have to have a fast OLB or you'll get taken out by the RB + blockers. Any suggestion on how to better defend against these plays? I also notice that while the Pitch L play works pretty well, the Sweep R play doesn't work well at all when you're using it against the COM.
