  1. Working on editing rosters for the '05 season. Can anyone detail specifically what each rating will translate to on field? Do the carry-over ratings from the NES version have the same effect in the SNES version?
  2. Favourite, ha! You really are a Canadian...
  3. The rosters aren't saved from season to season? I thought they carried over for some reason, am I thinking of a different version of the game?
  4. I've seen it happen. No way, on the cart? Didn't think that was possible.
  5. Dallas all the way on this. Was with hating on the Seahawks though? You've got a future hall of famer behind center firing up moon balls, John L. Williams who can play any position and Kandy Kane, Chadwick, Blades. Nesby Glasgow pulling down the picks. I love this team! Too bad Bosworth didn't make it this far, or else Seattle would be my dream team. Dave Krieg for Hall of Fame! All Time Passing Yardage Leaders 11 Dave Krieg 38,147 All Time Pass Completions Leaders 10 Dave Krieg 3,105 All Time Passing Touchdown Leaders 9 Dave Krieg 261 Take that Steve Young!
  6. Individual stats are tough to evaluate defensive players, because stats don't necessarily relate to their ability (see: Wayne Haddix) Team stats might be the way to go, but honestly I think you need to have watched these teams enough to get a feel for the individual players. If they are a stud in real life, make them a stud on the ROM, even if they don't have a high tackles per game rating. That being said, Ohio State will probably be disgusting on this.
  7. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember a game where I got over 100 AND lost the game, because the scoreboard only registers two digits. Anybody else have this happen? Maybe it was the first TB, but I'm pretty positive it was in TSB...
  8. Triple F? Any particular reason? Feel free to elaborate on these nicknames that might take an inside joke to get.
  9. Thought I'd kick this around to see if people are as retarded as I am. What are some funny nicknames, sayings, etc. you have for TSB? Here are a couple of mine... -"The Game"; What I've always called TSB. ex. Instead of playing, "Want to play some Tecmo Super Bowl later?" I simply say "Want to play The Game later?" So much easier... -Saying "Baaaa..." like a goat after recording a sack with Tim Goad. ex. "Tim Goad...Baaaaaa." -Mark Rypien "Farts". God I was a genius when I came up with this when I was 8 years old and have been laughing about it ever since. Anyways, I'd like to hear some others...
  10. I voted for the Bills to keep it interesting, but the 'Niners have got to be the best team, they have a stud at both ends of the deep levels, which is key. That being said, if the Bills are used effectively they can be very tough. Lofton can be used to bring in passes consistently. Thomas is tough running and receiving. And QB Bills is a reasonable enough QB to make things happen in a very balanced attack, easily the most balanced in the game (one could make an argument for the Rams here maybe...) Defensively the Bills have enough players to make some stops, and their secondary is capable of generating turnovers. Oodmes and Kelso usually come through with a turnover on a consistent basis, and you know how frustrating that can be. In conclusion, most balanced O and playmaking D make the Bills tough, and, if used correctly, able to run with anyone. Lots of options. The Eagles are lacking options on offense, and I experience a problem with QB Eagles (can we call him by his real name, please? no Randall Cunningham I ever watched played like this) coughing up the ball when I get greedy and start fight for some extra yardage. Plus the crap safteties... The Giants don't have the offense for me. Ottis and Megget can control, but neither can break it out. I am happy to focus on the run against them because their receivers, while good, are not spectacular. Just wait until Ingram whiffs on a deep pass for you late in the game. I agree with the Bears threads. They can be flat out annoying, and Neal is easily the superior Anderson. I see little difference between their D and NYG's, if anything the Bears D is better. Anyway, balance is the key, especially when facing a talented human, its better to be able to throw a few different things at them and see what works. At least, thats how I feel...
  11. Gotta be the Rams, they have too many weapons on offense and when you are in a pinch you can always throw it up for grabs to the big 2 receivers... But if Eric Green is in excellent for the Steelers, then its a tougher decision, as you can feed him over the middle all game and open some things up...
