  1. Wow that rom editor is a neat idea. It could be done for the NES version actually. SNES and Genesis would be a helluva lot more difficult, but I think the nes one is a possibility. The real stats/tecmo stats idea is definitely possible too, I doubt anyone would agree on a standard rating system, but one could be devised and that could become a standard for making roms.
  2. Thanks. Any idea who DE Eagles is? edit: Bingo, Mike Mamula
  3. That'd be real helpful if you could provide it. Thanks for telling me that too, I would have been stumped trying to figure who is who.
  4. NES 1, SNES 1, Genesis 1, and SNES 3 -- so far. Past half done linking the players right now too.. thanks to whoever's been helping. And does anyone have a list of the unknown generic players for TSB 3? I see Rod has a nice site on it, but I don't see III anywhere.
  5. TecmoSuperBowl.net is now up in bare-bones form, I added the feature so that you can change unique id associations! Please move the id's to the most recognizable name (ie- D. Alexander should be moved to Derrick Alexander.. try to put all profiles onto one identity- the empty of the two will be deleted by me later) Thanks to anyone who'll help weed through this with me and help create something never before had in the Tecmo community.
  6. That's what I was thinking too.. I managed to get NES 1, SNES 1, Genesis 1, And SNES III versions extracted, TSB 2 and Genesis TSB 3 seemed to be differently structured. Right now I have the 4 db tables, each player has a unique id for that table, and then a global id for all tables that was auto generated... so i'd say 80% of the profiles are already linked up. Just never got around to doing the others. Should have a bare-bones site up tomorrow sometime. I use aim for the most part, maybe you have some more ideas to throw out there.. or we could collaborate on something.
  7. Haha, nice. Small world A few links from search engines still going to it.
  8. I can upload ratings from any rom on any version, takes only a moment. So that's the real bonus with this, hoping to amass a collection for as many years as I can get. If you have any roms you want me to add to the database just shoot me an email and attach the file.
  9. Nice project man, wish I could help but I lost all my Tecmo stuff, shamefully - Give us a heads up when you get this completed
  10. Wow that's odd, never had that happen before. Do you also lose yards if the defender tips the ball out of bounds, say at the 20? Never noticed it before. (nice site)
  11. Yea I had TSB online, and the player linking would be a one time thing. Right now, I have a MySQL database with over 3000 player ratings just sitting there. (And then another bajillion with real NFL stats, made a script spider and it ran off the statistics from ESPN.com into my database ). Have no use for that yet though. The idea i'm considering is having visitors of the site be able to link the players themselves, because I'm sure there's hundreds and I wont find them all. So they can push a button and Jim Kelly will now have the rating for QB Bills added under his profile. Would be fairly simple to implement. Only problem would be misuse, so I may have registration on that site just to advert that. And Rod's done a phenomenal job here
  12. I have the entire database of ratings, but I have yet to find a way to link player profiles, ie. Chris Carter - Cris Carter, QB Eagles - R. Cunningham - Randall Cunningham. All the same people, but impossible to link with an automated script. So I either have to do this by hand or not have profiles with all TSB version ratings for a player. Anyway, I want some opinion on what I should concentrate on first with TSB.net as I've been putting it off, even though I want to realize the tsb addict dream in me of having features never before seen (especially support for the SNES community- much like the Tecmo Players Circuit.)
  13. Thanks man, figured they wouldn't go too deep on the number of tie breakers, as this was a rare case.
  14. Useful page, but yea- I meant the way Tecmo does it (and we all know how realistic their rules are )
