  1. On defense, I figured out that every defensive rating, like sacks or interceptions, must add up to 255, no matter how good or bad the defense is. It's actually more important that the overall defensive sim number (0-15) is accurate for things to come out right.
  2. I've been humming along on the graphics stuff...redesigning plays and whatnot....but the images I've made for new plays look kind of stupid so if anybody wants to take a crack at redesigning my graphics stuff once i'm done, go for it. But I've added new formations in this, including a 2RB-3WR set, a couple jumbo tight end sets, and I have cut down on shotgun and four wide formations, mostly because those kind of formations were rarely used around 1985. I thought about putting in a wishbone set just for the heck of it but it didn't make any sense. Anywho, I'm shooting for about three weeks or so until it's done, unless life gets in the way
  3. Just to give everybody a heads up - and perhaps inflate my ego a bit, I am working on a TSB 1985 that will be a little bit different than others made. I am doing extensive sim testing, and that will take a while, but I've got kick returners correct, will make new plays (No more run and shoot or red gun crap) and I figured out how to install a 2TE offense on several teams. Right now, I have Miami, St. Louis, and Detroit have 3WR packages and the LA Rams, Tampa Bay and San Diego have 2TE packages. If anybody has any suggestions as to what kind of stuff they would like to see, whether graphical, informational, or otherwise, just reply. It will take me about a month or so to finish (i'm a busy guy at work usually).
  4. Have you pinpointed where the location is for position placement of the defense? That way. It would be cool if you could make every team a 4-3.
  5. Well, I can't take time to develop anything, but I can share something that I found out and would translate well to a College Rom. If you want to get fancy with hex editing, I figured out a few wishbone formations that you could use if you want to design new plays: First, familiarize yourself with play editing, and specifically, formation editing....if you don't know how to change formations, go here Anyway, based on that, here's the code for a few fancy formations I've been working on that would be pretty useful for college: WISHBONE BIG: D6A1 0FA2 22A2 73A2 CBA2 F3A2 FFA2 03A3 07A3 0BA3 0FA3 WISHBONE 2WR: D6A1 22A2 73A2 96A2 E3A2 0FA2 FFA2 03A3 07A3 0BA3 0FA3 WISHBONE MOTION: D6A1 F6A1 13A2 5CA2 CBA2 F3A2 FFA2 03A3 07A3 0BA3 0FA3 WISHBONE RIGHT: D6A1 OFA2 73A2 F2A1 CBA2 F3A2 FFA2 03A3 07A3 0BA3 0FA3 I-FORM RIGHT: D6A1 73A2 F2A1 9AA2 D3A2 F3A2 FFA2 03A3 07A3 0BA3 0FA3 2RB 3WR: D6A1 22A2 73A2 96A2 E3A2 E7A2 FFA2 03A3 07A3 0BA3 0FA3 2RB GUN: D2A1 22A2 73A2 96A2 E3A2 E7A2 FBA2 03A3 07A3 0BA3 0FA3 TRIPS LEFT: D6A1 0FA2 43A2 9AA2 D7A2 F3A2 FFA2 03A3 07A3 0BA3 0FA3 5 WR: D6A1 D3A2 47A2 96A2 6FA2 EBA2 FFA2 03A3 07A3 0BA3 0FA3 5 WR MOTION: D6A1 DAA1 47A2 96A2 6FA2 EBA2 FFA2 03A3 07A3 0BA3 0FA3 The only problem is, if you use any of these formations, redesigned plays could come out wacky (I usually have one of the wide receivers in the backfield on wishbone, halfbacks at slot WR for 5WR, etc.), so their receiving, running and blocking assignments will be a little screwy. But tinker around with it.
  6. I've stalked these boards for years and people have tried before, so I thought I would just take another crack at it.... Does anybody have any clue how to edit the playoff structure, as in who plays who? I read a post that said jstout figured has at least somewhat narrowed it down as to where this information is located, and I had wanted to fiddle with it. Any help is appreciated, whether it's specific or just a "I think the info is located at x?????? but I'm not sure." If we do this, it could really open up the possibililties for College and pre-1990 roms. Thanks!
