  1. I figured that out too late.. It's been a long time... I thought he had been drafted in 1996. So I have two Bobbys now. An unfair advantage!
  2. I created Bobby Taylor for the Eagles and replaced one of the backups with him, so he gets a lot of play in the nickel and dime. I didn't get any improvement points after the first game (even though he had a pick), so does anyone know if DBs improve when they're not in the base defense?
  3. Learn some new cuss words to use after fumbles and missed tackles.
  4. Makes me wonder what was in the water in Japan, giving ridiculously low stats to guys like Davis. Most 4-3 linebackers are underrated too, probably because tackles aren't as glamorous as sacks.
  5. The kickoff return safety isn't so much a glitch as simply an exposition of the problem caused by not allowing touchbacks on kickoff returns.
  6. LOL@ the face on the ball. Hey, who knows what would have happened if he'd had his helmet for the first few plays.
  7. It's actually Coach Buddy Ryan who said "all he does is catch touchdowns" when a reporter asked him why he released Carter. Berman just repeated it.
  8. It really stinks, because the controllers that came with my FC Twin were fine, but now they are wearing out. I couldn't even get new extension cords that worked! How hard is it to solder a straight-through connection!
  9. I need to pick up some replacement SNES controllers. Anyone have a good source? Two attempts via Amazon and eBay have resulted in unusable junk.
  10. Tommy Kane and Brian Blades are the worst starting WR tandem in the game. When your "possession" receiver has 44 REC... yikes. I can dominate with the Jets offense too. I think it's because the playbook is pretty good; I think I only had to change one play. It seems like Boomer and Mitchell are just good enough to make the Pro T Flare C deadly. Mitchell had over 1000 yards the last time I played a season with them. I don't agree that their defense is shaky. There are no terrible players, you have several solid guys to hold down each unit (Mo Lewis, Marshall, Thomas) and you have a playmaker in Brian Washington.
  11. And a bonus from the NES that I'd forgotten about:
  12. You can run the ball a little better with Dunbar; he's faster. Hilliard has receiving skills, so if unorthodox roster changes are OK you could sub him in for Early at WR.
  13. I've actually had all my returners injured so that I had no one to sub in and had to reset. I have a screen shot of this I should upload.
  14. It seems like the programmers took a while to get a hang of the substitutions. I've found that in the first game back from injury, you have to go to your defensive starters screen and swap the returners around in order for the starter to reappear on the field.
