  1. Despite my poor showing it was a fun time. Highlight had to have been blocking a FG despite the no 4th man down rule (Mike Singletary was the culprit as he bulled thru the Raiders line to get the block.
  2. I don't see why we would outlaw using DL, onside kick, 4th man down, or WR at RB. All of these strategies have drawbacks as well as benefits(aside from 4th man down) and none of them compromise the fun or fairness of the game(as the NT dive does). Also, I'm assuming we will be able to switch RB1 and RB2 if we want, right?
  3. I haven't been on the boards here in years but I always used to tout the Chargers. Only weakness is at safety but Gill Byrd and Sam Seale make it up. I agree about Cox. Get him in there to block for Butts.
  4. Michael carter is a good selection. in that same vain I'd also look to pierce holt as an underrated player. Another pick that no one has yet mentioned is Sam Seale along with most of san diego's team.
  5. im also interested in a philly tournament between sometime before the middle of january. louisoliver, waynehaddix and I are in the western suburbs. where are the other interested parties from?
  6. Ill defend team #1. Bo Jackson running behind the game's best O line is overwhelming. BJ tolliver's arm strength is enough to make the Defense pay for picking run. Though Rice and + Anthony Miller are two great receivers in their own right without a premier QB, their value is negated somewhat. Yes the Defense is somewhat weaker especially in the LB corp but the first D can still hold its own. Thus the major difference comes down the the supreme attack BO+ the dolphins vs the good but not as good attack of young +rice/miller.
  7. good choice. Im sure Lonnie appreciates the shoutout.
  8. i agree with this . san francisco's computer controlled DLine is very difficult with holt and carter. i remember an nfc championship game against Detroit where my line was collapsed on every play with barry scampering for his livelyhood. True to life...
  9. difficult to stop from scoring = AFC WEST difficult to score upon = NFC EAST
  10. or vice versa. what indiviual or team matchups do you find remarkably favorable or unfavorable? on a team level i say atlanta always seems to at least keep it close with san fran.
  11. if lott had greater than 50 int san fran would be even more unbalanced bordering on ridiculum. for this reason i am thankful
  12. the answer is fulcher. safties are better than corners that can be blown up by 2 and sometimes 3 blockers. haddix has no hitting power so that's especially true of him. woodson lacks the INT prowess of the top notch. carrier isn't fast enough. fulcher lacks nothing. i'd put lott at #2. he's fulcher minus the great hands honorable mention - ronnie lippett. gotta agree with mr. lyght. he's a performer
  13. week 7?(i believe)-- falcons 24- niners 17. andre rison dominated this game at running back - 10 for 172. is there something about this matchup bc it usually seems to yield a close hard fought game? that one's for you scrubomino
