  1. Yeah, sad what they've become. They were the bomb back in the early to mid 90s...
  2. Did anyone pick it up? Worth a purchase?
  3. Great read. I may be one of the few who actually think Mega Man 1 was the greatest Mega Man game. Maybe b/c it was the first, and I really love the music and level design / bosses, etc. Personal favorite (and top 5 of any NES music ever): >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjnnxsWIA_0
  4. I see it for $29.99 on Amazon today... Can I get some updates from anyone on whether the game is worth it? Any reviews of the online experience? How laggy is it, and do people force you to quit all the time?
  5. I remember seeing a few highlights of Audray on ESPN that year. One where he tipped a ball to himself and pick-sixed it! Sadly I searched and could find no videos of him playing.
  6. One thing I didn't recollect until the other day... Johnny Johnson is a Pro Bowler on the original rom. Wow!
  7. Just wondering. I got the game recently... Have no friends to play with though!
  8. There was a football game called "Front Page Sports" (and I think a Baseball game too) by Sierra that was cool as well with a lot of stat tracking... But not as good gameplay as Tony LaRussa's
  9. Toolie you should put up a video montage of some of the plays and INTs, would be great I bet!
  10. I used to have Tony Larussa' Ultimate Baseball on PC. Also got the expansion pack. I loved it! Besides Baseball Stars, it was my favorite baseball game of all time.
  11. I am going to pass for now, even at 40 bucks. I've done my research (watched youtube vids of the online play, read reviews and gamefaqs message board)... Seems the online is indeed laggy and/or freezes often, with people taking advantage of baserunning glitches and the like. That being the case it may not be feasible for a fun online league.
  12. Stinks that you have to have their rewards card to get the best deal.
  13. I have a PS4, might pick this up if it goes down to 40 bucks. But I've heard the online isn't very good (lag, etc.). Please let me know once you've tried the online.
  14. I think he's mulatto like Rod Woodson... So technically they could have gone either way.

  16. LOL that's funny, I remember the arcades being the same way. People also played a lot of Samurai Showdown II in my area. I was pretty beast with Galford.
  17. Street Fighter was out before Mortal Kombat. Plus Mortal Kombat II was way better than the first one (much like Street Fighter II). I'm sure one or both franchises will eventually make it into the Hall of Fame.
  18. I agree with the selections of Pong, Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros, Tetris. WoW? It's been the most successful MMO, but essentially copied the format of Sony's Everquest and made it more casual. And Doom, essentially copied Wolfenstein 3D (although a better game and by the same company).
  19. Ah, damn. I missed the old post. Oh well, moving on... Mods feel free to delete this thread!
  20. Amazing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nintendo-Tecmo-Super-Bowl-NES-/171811193400?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2800bec238 EDIT: PS-- be sure to check out their other auctions as well!!
  21. I had this poster on my wall as a teenager. Not kidding!
  22. This is from 2009 and written by someone who clearly isn't a TSB vet (considering he ranked LT and Bo ahead of QB Eagles). Still kind of interesting though. Fun read. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/290024-tecmo-super-bowls-32-greatest-players/page/1
  23. Pulled this card from a pack of 1990 Upper Deck back in the day and was stoked!! What a disappointment it ended up being.
  24. There's a name from the past! I remember Maas b/c his rookie card was hot that year... He seemed destined for stardom, but flamed out quickly much like many other young "rated rookies"
