  1. Wow, I had no idea animating the weather was even a possibility. It actually looks surprisingly good, and hopefully my previous post doesn't discourage you from continuing to explore this. I have to say, I hadn't visited the boards in a while, but it's amazing what you guys have been able to do with the game. The rom hacking has definitely been taken to a whole new level - 32 teams, in-game playbook changes, it's incredibly impressive. On a more basic front, would it be possible to have an option to turn injuries ON for Pre-Season games? I imagine the one major complication would be if the rom applied a Pre-Season game injury to the in-progress Season players, but even if that were the case hopefully folks wouldn't be using their season save states to play Pre-Season games... and if they did, hopefully they would be wise enough to turn the option off.
  2. In response to someone's earlier comments about the appearance of the weather, I remember tinkering with this several years ago. I always thought the snow looked best as a light grey (10) and that the rain looked best represented as a brown field (18):
  3. The first release of Rose Bowl 2002 should be tonight at tecmosuperbowl.com, just in time to kickoff the College Football season this weekend. I'll post another message once it's all set and ready to be downloaded.
  4. Also does anyone know the # of the offset for the Mini-helmet screen and Post-Game Stat Screen Background colors? Thanks,
  5. Yeah, so what do you do to change the "..." back to "SKP/COM/MAN/COA"? I'm so close I can freakin smell it - if I can just get a few of these questions answers I can get you guys your Rose Bowl 2002
  6. Well....no. When I'm done with this Rose Bowl I'm pretty much done with editing Tecmo roms. It wouldn't be all that hard. From the format of TSBUltra I bet you could just make up a series of different roms like SEC/ACC 03 and BIG TEN/BIG XII 03 etc until you have all of the different players and teams and stats you want. TSBM will let you do most of that stuff and now that there is a TSB Sim Editor out there that can be taken care of pretty easily too. I can't think of what else TSB Ultra requires, but that's about all - since it doesn't deal with helmets and any of that stuff just yet. It's definitely a great idea for a project - but one that I will not be able to take on.
  7. Has anyone figured out how to change the background color on the player data screens (the ones with the player pics on them) so that they match the team colors? I feel like someone did but I can't seem to find the thread that explains it.
  8. I'm just posting all of these because they're problems I'm trying to reslove and I'm hoping someone before me has run into them and may be able to identify what the cause is: So the Miami uniform won't load right and a run play pops up in one of the Pro Bowl teams' pass slots. Is it possible that this could be caused by having the team or player names be too long - as in the net length of all team or player names combined? I haven't gotten the problem where the big helmet screen is all messed up because any one individual team name is too long. And I'm not really sure how the whole re-pointering works in TSBM - but is it possible that these values are too long and have spilled over into some of the other ROM code? Has anyone else had these symptoms in a rom before (even if you couldn't figure out how to solve it?)
  9. Sorry to be such a pain with all these questions but I'm trying to get this rom together so it can be released opening weekend of the college football season. Did anyone ever solve the problem with assigning kick/punt returners in TSBM - how they ineveitably seem to reset to the wrong player no matter how you set them? Does someone have the hex location for this information and how it's stored?
  10. Okay, let's try asking it this way: Does anyone know where in the TSB code the uniform information is stored?
  11. Okay I've got the sim stuff all set I think. I still can't figure out how to find the graphical pointers in the rams helmet. My other problem now is that Miami's (who replaced KC) uniform wants to stay pink and white - now I know KC has that wierd 3 uniform thing going on. Does anybody know how to edit that one?
  12. Thanks. How about the player sim data?
  13. Does TSBM2000 transfer sim data along with roster and team stuff or not? If not where is this info stored, both for players and for teams. Man I used to know this stuff back in the day...
  14. It didn't work. I think pointers to tiles must have moved or something because the helmets are all wrong on the mini-helmet screen. The palletes also seem to have reset to the original ones.
  15. What about the pallette stuff - most of the pallete stuff for the helmets seems to be around 2Cxxx or something, I forget exactly where. Will I have to re-edit all of that stuff? Is there a specific location for these things so I can cut and paste them? And does changing people's names (and therefore the length of the info) change where the break point is?
