  1. Yeah I remember. They started banning people for rom related talk. I never got banned, but I was threatened by Brian a few times, so I moved here along with everyone else. I'm pretty sure it was 2002 though, if you check the member list, most of the regulars from there signed up here in a 2-3 day period.
  2. The only way to get a modded controller is to buy one off of ebay, and they go for 80 dollars. So they are pretty uncommon. But no, there is no way to stop them, and they are super fast. The ebay auctions usually have videos demonstrating people playing Halo 3, or COD4 with them. I would imagine you would know if you played against someone using one, since any grapple would take you down instantly.
  3. I love when I'm on offense, and the computer dives and misses me, and I get the nice tackle bonus. It's definately the most glitched.
  4. You didn't clearly define what you meant by the topic title, so I'll assume mean a sports games that can be enjoyed without being a fan of the sport. Basketball = NBA Jam Boxing = Mike Tysons Punchout Dodgeball = Super Dodgeball I personally love the game still. When I was a kid, me and friend recreated our high school schedule, and kept stats with a calculator and a notebook. The plays looked similar to stuff we ran, fullhouse backfield, 4-4 defense. I loved being able to progress from High School, to college, to the NFL. Players got faster, and had access to more moves, and the playbooks got more complex. The game wasn't perfect, it was too hard to pass, and too hard to stop the pass, but I still think it's a lot of fun.
  5. ::cough::left::cough:: Yeah all that WoW spam was getting annoying, didn't know about the report function.
  6. Not to interrupt all the bickering with on topic posting....But I figured it out. The problem with ingame substitutions, is that the game doesn't care what you want, it automatically depth charts the players in the game. For example, You have RB1 and RB2 in the first and second RB slots. If you substitute RB3 for RB1, the game will automatically reorder them so RB2 is in the first slot and RB3 is in the second slot. It's sucks if you are trying to use accurate rosters, because the game forces you fullback to the halfback spot, and you need to substitute both of them to get what you want. If you are trying to play out of position, forget about trying to figure it out.
  7. Some Wildcat plays. If it's possible to move players, possible some wishbone plays.
  8. I usually get 400-500 points per game, what are you doing to get so many points?
  9. I just finished a season with 5500 points, and still didn't get Jo. I don't think it's the points. 2000 yards rushing maybe?
  10. This statement just screams noob to me. My biggest complaint is the lack of computer juice. If you pass the ball, you have all your receivers running down the field wide open, and the computer never takes it away. The only thing that slows you down is that the receivers stop when you throw it to them. I took that to mean some of the abilities are useless, and I would agree with that, some of them just don't work. The problem with going into the options and changing them all is that it waste points. They should've made it free to swap out skills. No he is correct. The PSX version, and I believe TSB 3 also had an NFL records section, where it listed actual NFL records such as most rushing yards in a season, most sacks, etc, and if you broke them, it would list the player and the stats. And of course being records they didn't disappear after 4 years, they were there until they were either broken, or the save was deleted.
  11. That is exactly what I said 2 posts before yours. But it is still a glitch. You can change players in game, and it will take when there are no injuries. But if you have an injury it doesn't take.
  12. Why are you calling it 2010, when that is 2 years away? Why are you not using the 32 team rom? There is no reason to cut teams out anymore, and the helmets are already done for you. Why are you changing Favres name?
  13. If you are doing it ingame, there seems to be a glitch, and it doesn't work when a player is injured. The computer just does what it wants. Just changed it in the Roster screen after the game, if your player comes back, you will be able to move players around.
  14. I don't think that's it. I lead the league in every statistical category, and I didn't get him.
