AZcards77 reacted to The Super TecBros for a file, (SNES) Tecmo Super Bowl Legacy-1999
Tecmo Super Bowl Legacy 1999 utilizes our Redux ROM as the base game file & provides the following features:

    - All mini/large helmets to include team logos have been touched up to remove muddy textures and unnecessary shading.
    - Menu screens have been simplified and the drum loop music has been removed.
    - Team rosters have been modified to include top draft class of 1999, free agent acquisitions, trades, and major season ending injuries to big name players. Sim data reflects actual player/team performance levels.
    - Uniform matchups corrected to ensure team colors do not clash with one another & with ZERO color versus color matchups just like NFL Sundays!
    - Hacks included: COM QB find open receiver, COM late season coverage, 4th quarter punt logic (COM will punt in 4th with 2+ minutes remaining), stats after each quarter, elimination of motion from all triangle set formation plays, & full juice from week 1.
    - Sprites=Classic Sprite Standard (CSS): Normal sized athletes to closely resemble the original 1993 sprites; however, all sprites were redesigned to reduce muddy skin textures & clashes with uniform or field turf. The field turf has been changed to single gradient in all weather conditions to provide more visibility to the focal point of the game--the players & on-screen TSB goodness.
    - Two Game files are available as the ROM file only accommodates 28 teams: Variations between Game 1 & Game 2 respectively: TEN/CIN, JAX/PIT, & CAR/WAS. In 1999 TEN changed their team imagery to include uniforms and logos. Other than TEN there were no dramatic changes in uniforms, etc.

To kick off the start of the 23-24 NBA season I am releasing my NEW Super Tecmo NBA Basketball (SNES). Here's are the details on what is edited:

-27 teams (Missing Toronto Raptors, Memphis Grizzilies, New Orleans Pelicans) *NOTE-I am currently working on versions to add these teams by replacing other teams. Will add update when done!
-Rosters (includes top Rookies for this season)
    -Player Stats
-Player attributes (as best as I could determine using stats online)
    -Jerseys
    -Logos
    -Home Court Arena names

The game play is great! I recommend playing this by putting all teams on COM and putting the team you want to play with on MAN. Then use your emulators Fast Froward option (almost all emulators have this option) to move through all other games. If you play the game with every team on SKP the stats will get all messed up. Only the last player on every bench will score the points. (I'm trying to figure out how to fix this but have had no luck so far. I believe this is because I used the Rabbit utility to edit rosters.)

I am still relatively new to ROM hacking which is why there are some things in the game I do not have completely updated. I would love to combine with anyone to update this ROM to the full 30 teams and fix the things that are still not correct. Hope you enjoy. Hit me up if you want to collaborate on this project!

AZcards77 reacted to joshuablackstone for a file, SEC vs Big Ten Legends
Welcome to the future.  2024 will introduce 16 teams for the Big Ten and 16 teams for the SEC, thus in the words of the media making 2 Super Conferences.

First off, thank you to Baron Von Lector.  This ROM is a variation of his hard work.  If you haven't check out his other ROM hacks on his site.  I tried Super Mario with SNES graphics, pretty cool.

Next, since we don't know accurate rosters for 2024, I went ahead and created a LEGENDS edition.  Best of the best for each school.  Turned out to be much more difficult for teams like Rutgers and Vanderbilt haha.

I like TSB3 so added a couple of features that are borrowed from there.  Field is one color for simplicity and to fix a couple of minor field glitches with the original rom.  Changed a lot of colors.

There are 2 versions, neither are more or less difficult.  If you wish to modify to amp the JUICE, there are plenty of articles on this site to help you do that.

Basically, there is a VANILLA version with little to no hacks involved and one that I added a few hacks that I see as adding to the game.

    These hacks are:

Add Hut to Pre-Snap Decrease Fumbles by 30% Various Special Teams Hacks (Directional Punts, kickoff locations moved, touchbacks moved, add touchbacks for kickoffs, wedge kickoff return) Remove Excess Diving by CPU.  Makes it a lot more difficult if you can't just fake the CPU to get them to dive haha Player Controlled QB Rollout. Change Preseason music to use Pro Bowl values.
I want to say thank you to everyone on this site who has contributed.  I've had a LOT of fun playing these variations, especially the college ones (I find college to be more exciting than pro personally) and especially the SNES versions, I'm not there yet personally, but I admire what some can do.  Wish we could get an NCAA TSB3 at some point, maybe I'll try to attack that next.

Obviously there is talk of further expansion of these conferences, so at some point maybe I'll replace the lesser teams with newer additions if/when that happens.  Also, perhaps the new Big 12 could play one of these conferences.  All ideas I'm floating but want to see if this one goes over well or if it's not worth the trouble.  I personally am enjoying playing this and feel like it's a solid idea, but I can't say for certain.  If there are suggestions that you want to pass along, feel free, although please keep in mind I'm fairly new at this so bear with me.  Was a lot of fun to do though.

In honor of the NBA finals I have come up with a 2023 end of season TNBA23 and STNBA23 ROM's. I am really new to ROM hacking and put together these ROM's using the Rabbit utility. Here's what I edited:

    -Rosters
    -Player Stats
-Player attributes (as best as I could determine using stats online)
    -Jerseys

The game play is pretty nice. However because I used the Rabbit utility and so when you try to SIM a season the SIM data gets all botched up and the usual last player on the roster scores all the points.  So this version is definitely a prototype. I'm trying to research and find ways to fix this. If anybody has any ideas or help to fix this please comment and let me know. I have looked into it a little bit and have gotten some advice from others but still looking for more.

The best way to play using this is to put all teams on COM and pick a team on MAN and use the FF option on whatever emulator you use. I have been able to get through a whole season in a few days to a week depending on time I have.

I would love to combine with anyone to update this ROM to a full 30 teams and update all the logos and anything else. Hope you enjoy. Hit me up if you want to collaborate on this project!

2001 teams play against each other
2020 teams play against each other
2023 teams play against each other
Top 12 Teams meet in the playoffs

Like the 2020 and 2023 version, the kickoff is important!
Teams kick from the 20 and clock doesn't run!

Shout Out and thanks to S. Blueman and Baron Lector. They inspired me.

With updated rosters effective as June 28, 2021 and depth charts adjusted as well via (2021 NFL Depth Charts and Rosters | Ourlads.com)
Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans are in the game as well, but as extras (no players, except in FA) Money Players are all added and player stats have been updated to reflect the 2020-21 season.
Playing the game, you will have to download and copy the .srm file into your Genesis folder as it will have the depth charts adjusted.

-'84 Rosters as close as possible (there were a lot of midseason trades, so I tried to place players on rosters where they made more appearances)
    -New Orleans Breakers
-Graphic Tweaks, including funky end zones (watching USFL games I came to admire how bad the end zones often looked)
    -Stat Tweaks
    -3 team, 3 Division Structure
-12 teams make playoffs (as opposed to original 8 teams)
    -18 game, locked, '84 schedule
-All Pro: '84 All-NFL Vs. '84 All-USFL in Vanilla (slightly modified in What If--All-AFC Freeman McNeil replaces Payton)

Built off the legendary USFL-WLAF hack by jstout and Denny, this rom features the '84 USFL teams, schedule, and rosters, along with a few wrinkles.

This rom was tricky as I am still new to this. I looked to TheRaja's TFO rom for some structure. Clubs are split into three, 3-team divisions. The schedule is '84's, so clubs still have the same division matchups. I tried to order games as close as possible to their original times and distributions, as USFL clubs played Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday every week. This still got a little murky in the middle, but all schedules are as accurate as possible.

This rom maintains TSB's playoff structure as well--six get in from each conference as opposed to the original 4, but, honestly, I wondered why the league didn't go with 6 just from a marketing standpoint. You got a new league with new teams, why not show them all off, a la the NHL? Once I get better at this stuff, I will edit down to a 4 team playoff.

Jstout's and Denny's hack was invaluable--they did the art and logos. I did make some light edits to the helmets and logos--several clubs had "triple stripe" helmets, so I shifted them to the "40" code designation, with the exception of the Maulers, whose logo is placed in the Rams making that too difficult. I changed the Feds' big helmet to reflect the switch to silver in '84 and I edited the Blitz's and Star's logos just a little bit. I also took a crack at the midfield and end zone graphics.

Special thanks to USFLFan (@VUSFL2018 on Twitter) for providing invaluable knowledge on the what-if roster changes. Reading about some of the league's near-miss signings inspired me to take this on; @VUSFL2018's Virtual USFL project provided a great guide and framework.

There are two versions of this rom:

Vanilla--the more I experimented with rosters, the more I realized I needed some balance. Vanilla has more accurate rosters.

What If Edit--this is the counterfactual version, a little harder (not super juiced, but all clubs start 2-0 in terms of difficulty). This includes the "What If" Rosters.

Note non-TSB players: as this is an edit, and if you are playing TSB for the first time, this rom lacks the 2-point conversion implemented in USFL. Also, no touchbacks on kick-offs.

The Read Me includes a partial narrative and explains roster placements.

Tecmo Grey Cup 2019 is here! It was one of the busier offseasons in CFL history, but here we are, back with one of the most enjoyable roms in the Tecmo Super Bowl library.

Based off the NBA Basketball 2018 game hack, so it's primarily a roster update only (as of 05/31/2019). This is a fully functional game, but I consider it a beta/prototype because:
*missing 3 teams--including the Toronto Raptors! (sorry, I'm not currently fluent in ROM hacking enough to extend this game from 27 teams to 30 teams)
*missing 2 conferences (same; don't know how to hack this yet)
*updated player stats, but don't fully understand the player editor at the moment (though I have a good feel for it)

    Hey Guys.

New to the site, but have been modding games for a while and finally cracked Tecmo Super Bowl 3 for the Sega Genesis. I completed the following parts of the game, as Im more HxD driven than TIle Molestor or Tile Layer.

2019 Rosters effective as of May 1st.
    - All teams completed with updated rosters and attributes. (Not Photos)
    - Modded the Texans logo for a few screens.
    - Modded the main menu, schedule names, and team names.
    - Missing teams due to the map and the team locations (Ravens, Titans) Texans just seemed to have made sense for the location of the former Houston Oilers.

Really dont have a way to find the mini helmets, large ones, end zones. Ive anyone wants to work together on updates to this Sega classic let me know. Im working on the following updates as well.

This is a custom hack of the original KGB SNES game, but with all-time legends on every team's roster!
I tried to include a bit of every championship era a team had on each roster, spanning all 98 seasons in MLB's live-ball era from 1920-2019.

    ROSTER STRUCTURES
I kept the game's basic structure and fundamentals for rosters intact. What this means is that every team has 5 starting pitchers, 5 relievers, 8 (or 9 in the AL) starting position players and 7 (or 6 in the AL) bench position players. I also stayed true to the original's roster makeup so that nearly every bench has a backup catcher, 3 backup infielders and 3 backup outfielders -- except in the AL, where the DH's natural position dictates the remaining bench positions (example - David Ortiz's natural position  was 1B, so the Red Sox only have 2 IFs on the bench). I think there are 1 or 2 teams that may have 4 OFs or 4 IFs on the bench, but the rest stay true to that formula. Generally, a player appears on the team he played his best seasons for. But there are some exceptions in order to get as many deserving players in the game as I could (example - Mike Piazza had his best seasons with the Dodgers from '93-'97, but he is the Mets' starting catcher in this game). Also, I made a rule that no player can appear more than once in the game. So you will not see Barry Bonds on the Pirates and the Giants, Reggie on the A's and Yankees, Bic Mac on the A's and Cardinals or Frank Robinson on the Reds and the Orioles.

    PLAYER STATS
Player's stats are based on their 7 peak consecutive seasons of their career, with the majority of those seasons for the team they represent in this version of the game. For example, Frank Thomas' stats and ratings in this game are his 1991-1997 seasons averaged out. These same basic rules apply to pitchers as well for their ratings, ERA, Wins, Losses and Saves stats. Also, in order to really see every player on an equal playing field, the 7-year peak season stats/ratings are pro-rated. So for instance, if you look at Tony Gwynn's stats in the game, those are his 7-year peak numbers pro-rated to 500 ABs. All position players' stats are pro-rated to 500 ABs. All starting pitchers' stats are pro-rated to 32 GS. And all relievers' stats are pro-rated to 60 G. This allows you to look at the players on even ground, so a player who may have usually had 720 plate appearances won't have bloated stats over a guy who may have only normally had 500 plate appearances during his 7-year peak.

    PLAYER RATINGS/SKILLS
Player's skill ratings also had a specific system I used. Using players' 7-year peak season numbers and pro-rated to 500 AB/32 GS/60 G, here were the ranking systems I used for each skill rating:

    HITTERS
BAT uses the hitter's batting average in their 7-yr peak. Depending on the era the player played in, this can slightly change. So for example, if a player played during a high offensive era like 1919-1940 or 1994-2005, it's slightly adjusted and accounts for that.
POW uses the hitter's home runs as well as Isolated Power and Slugging% in their 7-yr peak.
SPD uses the hitter's Stolen Base attempts + 3Bs in their 7-yr peak
DEF uses the hitter's fielding percentage as well as DRS (Defensive Runs Saved), dWAR in their 7-yr peak. In addition, I also took outfielders' assists into account. Likewise for catchers, their CS% was also used and plays a part in their DEF rating. With some exceptions here and there (like Jeter), most players with multiple Gold Gloves almost always received a 8 or better DEF rating. However, there are a few players who had great defense (9 or 10) that never won a GG and also a few who have won GG and had mediocre or only slightly above avg defense (Jose Altuve and Derek Jeter are good examples of this).

    PITCHERS
SPD uses the pitcher's SO/9 innings pitched in their 7-yr peak.
CON uses the pitcher's WHIP as well as FIP in their 7-yr peak.
FAT uses the starting pitcher's innings pitched per games started in their 7-yr peak and a reliever's innings pitched per games played in their 7-yr peak period.

    PLAYER'S PHYSICAL APPEARANCES
I tried to be as faithful as I could to all player's physical appearances. Whether that was physical stature and physique, batting stances, hair length and color, facial hair or skin tones. I think I did a decent job and hope you feel like the players match their real-life counterparts as much as this game allows it to. If anybody notices a mistake or something that may need to be fixed, please let me know! I will fix it and re-upload an updated version.

Please leave any feedback, criticism, suggestions or comments on here! I'd love to know what anybody else thinks that downloads and plays this. Also, please check-out my '98 expansion teams addition where the Arizona Diamondbacks and Tampa Bay Devil Rays are represented.

    ENJOY!!!!
