  1. Know this is over a year old now but really enjoyed this read!
  2. You guys are awesome! I'll be giving this a go tomorrow and I'll post results. Thanks so much.
  3. Not sure if anyone else has experience hacking Legends of the Diamond for NES but I'm looking for a little help. I've managed to edit team logos, colors, names and abbreviations for the in-game overlay. The one thing I can't seem to locate is the team abbreviations for the scoreboard cutaway. I've been able to edit team names for the scoreboard display and I'm assuming the abbreviations use the same tiles but I can't locate them. Each letter of the scoreboard text is split into a top and bottom tile. I created a table (UPPER CASE LETTERS = top row, lower case letters = bottom row) and still no luck... Attached are some stills... If anyone could offer any insight it would be much appreciated!
  4. I did the same thing when I came across that "Z." Got really excited for a second. I'll give your suggestion a go! If that doesn't work I'll probably combine some existing tiles to make something that looks kind of like a Z...
  5. Annnnd... Nevermind. Quickly realized that, like the endzones, a bunch of the tiles are shared among different letters...ugghh.
  6. You're totally right... Located the tiles and there is no set that makes a Z. My idea right now is to try and find the hex location for the "!" tiles and remove it from the end of every team. Then change the tiles to make a "Z" and plug those in for Arizona.... It might prove to be too much work but I'm giving it a go!
  7. So I'm using Tecmo Bowl Manager and I've run into an issue. Whenever the letter Z is used in a team name, the newspaper clipping at the end references completely different letters (pic attached). Basically I'm trying to find the hex location for this text and swap out the jumble with the proper Z letter. My problem is, I can't locate the Z tiles... Anyone have any suggestions or tips?? Thanks!
  8. AWESOME. Thanks for gathering all this! As someone who's just starting out hacking the original, this is insanely helpful.
  9. Thanks so much for this wealth of info, really appreciate it. Can't wait to get started!
  10. Hey guys, So I'm just getting started hacking the original Tecmo Bowl and using Tecmo Bowl Manager and some simple hex editing I've been able to do pretty much everything I want... Only thing I need to do now is change plays for each team. Is there any way to do this? I searched this forum but wasn't able to find anything. Thanks!
  11. Thanks man! Greatly appreciated. I've actually been playing your NCAA 2014 Tecmo Bowl and that's what got me wanting to play around with the game.
  12. Thanks for the quick response Dave! Unfortunately I think that points me to the Tecmo Super Bowl Manager?? I wasn't able to locate Tecmo Bowl Manager on Romhacking.net. Am I totally missing something??
  13. Hey everyone, New here and looking to get started hacking the original Tecmo Bowl for NES. I did some simple rom hacks in high school (around a decade ago... Yikes) and I'm trying to give it another go around. I know I need to get my hands on Tecmo Bowl Manager but I can't seem to find a link any where. Seems that Emuware is down? If anyone could help point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated, thanks!
