  1. Do you guys have any Twitch Clips or Youtube uploads from your broadcast?
  2. This was a very memorable weekend for me. I get greeted at the airport by @mort1237 and @kevincabarello who treated me like royalty. I responded by demanding a Waffle House visit, and my subjects happily obliged. Armed security, drunk women, chefs cooking with cell phones in one hand, and an impending drug deal witnessed by Mort kicked off an amazing weekend. All that was missing was a Hepatitis C infection. We hit the Old North Arcade, where nearly everything is on free play, then went our separate ways as we all had a big day on Saturday. Nice selection of games, and of course I did some damage on the Mortal Kombat machines. At the recommendation of Kevin, we locked down a prepaid ATT hot spot with a built in Ethernet port based on his connection quality off his phone. In 9 hours of streaming Saturday, we didn't drop a single frame. @Jim Socks 13, @Woodshed, Eric Kuhlman, The Retro Sports Gamer, Louis, Mort, and The Ultimate Weapon all made guest appearances on the color mic. It was an absolute riot. The afforementioned Jim Socks and Woodshed opened with their own version of "In the Ware Tonight", which I believe is available on the Retro Sports Gamer Channel on Youtube. It's not to be missed. The setups were a plenty, and Kevin balanced playing, organizing with tenacity. Louis and Mort were a big help setting up early. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the overall event a 10/10 in my book. Way to go Mort for your victory, Joemama winning the Silver bracket, and Kevin for running a kickass event! Here's to next year!
  3. If you missed the amazing Tupa Bowl IV action from Columbus OH this weekend, fret not! We have all of the stream footage for you. Catch part 1 here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/263975170 Catch part 2 here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/263975952
  4. Happy to be working this with you. It will be my first out of state tournament experience ever. Been working diligently on the stream setup, and picked up the prepaid hotspot with Ethernet on it with the provider you suggested based on your own experience there. As I do with any retro tournament now, if a Genesis is setup, and anyone wants to challenge me to mk or mk2, $20 awaits the first person to beat me on real hardware on a CRT. We are certain to have some pauses in there. In 17 years I have not parted with this $20. With the world's Tecmo hordes massed against me, I can only hope there is one among you who is able to deliver to me, "a beautiful death".
  5. I am looking forward hauling Gats and Hank down to be your announcer on TGFN. As there will be obvious pauses between games, If a Sega Genesis can be setup on a CRT, I'll offer my standing $20 to anyone that can beat me in a game of MK or MK2 on that platform, as long as we can stream it. I look forward to your impending destruction.
  6. Obviously having skill against the CPU is a good start, but sometimes they are so juiced you can't run effectively, and almost no one is ever open for passing. If you are having trouble beating teams late in the season, it's most likely due to your W-L record. As I understand it, every game over .500 kicks up player stats a notch. This makes it easy for the CPU to run off 80 yard runs if you are undefeated. It also makes it more likely to all of your receivers to be covered. If you are really struggling, you could simulate about half the season, and then play the rest of it. The few losses could ease the blow moving into the playoffs.
  7. We acquired an OSSC, RGB SCART Cables, and all the necessary splitters and such for the 16 bit consoles. Mortal Kombat will look amazing when I'm decapitating fools. Sadly no RGB Mod NES for us just yet.
  8. Shaping up that we should have around 16 players, not bad considering the less than a month notice, and the Tomczak Bowl happening the next day.
  9. Going live on Facebook at 9PM CST tonight to discuss groups, prizes, and answer anyone's questions. https://www.facebook.com/gbnhl94/
  10. our tournament got some local coverage https://www.thepress.media/2018/02/12/nhl-94-tournament-coming-to-ashwaubenon/
  11. Great news everyone! We've set the price to $10 for everyone! Also, if you are playing in the NHL94 tournament on the 24th, you will get an extra raffle entry!
  12. You were my personal highlight from being at Tundra Bowl this year. When @CASUAL_T thought he had to put a belt in your mouth while you were having a "seizure" on the floor, that was the cherry on top of it all. I know it's probably a long shot, but maybe your wife will let you to Green Bay a 2nd time this year.
  13. I'd very much like it if we could locate other retro gamers that really enjoyed consolized versions of fighters like Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat 2.
  14. @qb_browns Some someone will take me down eventually. Surely not this guy... or this guy....
