  1. Simple Linear Regression This is the method I used to determine my ratings. On the example on the page, the red line represents the formula for each rating. I'll post my actual graph later this afternoon.
  2. Using my handy TI-83 graphing calculator and a recent lesson about linear regression in my statistics class, I have developed formulas for determining a player’s Power and Contact rating based on their batting average and homerun totals for the year. After developing the formulas, using QBasic, I wrote a program that calculates the ratings once you plug in the appropriate values. It’s not pretty, but it’s functional. For sampling, I used the statistics of every starting lineup player of the original RBI Baseball for every team, with the exceptions being the two All-Star Teams (64 total). For reference purposes, the formulas are as follows: [POWER] y = 4.94x + 745 [CONTACT] y = -.253x + 91 DOWNLOAD - RBI Baseball Ratings Calculator RBI_Calc.exe.zip
  3. This ROM is for the 1908 edition of RBI Baseball. The teams included are the Chicago Cubs, Detroit Tigers, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Naps, Chicago White Sox, St. Louis Browns, Philadelphia Phillies, Boston Red Sox, and Cincinnati Reds. The pitchers in this ROM have been given a considerable Stamina boost as it was common for a starting pitcher to finish 75% of the games he started. As a result, each team has four starters on the roster. Roster Information RBI Baseball 1908.nes
  4. Thank you. I am currently working on a requested 1908 RBI Baseball ROM. Afterwards, my next project is going to be "RBI Baseball 1871 - Year One."
  5. This ROM is based on the 1995 Major League Baseball season. This season is significant due to it being shortened due to the players’ strike during Spring Training. The teams included in this ROM are the Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners, Houston Astros, Cincinnati Reds, Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angels, Cleveland Indians, and Colorado Rockies. EDIT: In my excitement, I forgot up upload the ROM file. Uploaded! RBI Baseball 1995.nes
  6. This ROM is based on the 1978 NFL season, the year the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Dallas Cowboys in the Super Bowl, 35-31. The teams included in this ROM are the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Oilers, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Falcons, Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and the Minnesota Vikings. 7. Thanks for the plug, TSF! JS, starting next week I can get to work on those years that you listed.
  8. I've started working on a 1978 ROM which I figure it to be done around Monday (the original Tecmo, not Tecmo Super). Afterwards, I was going to work on 1960'ish AFL/NFL ROM.
  9. David Price showed up to the game against the #Yankees last night ready for a snowball fight. #NYYvsDET http://t.co/tx1Kv3KqQ6

  10. This ROM is based on the 2011 season. This was created to honor the recent return of Tim Tebow to the NFL. Although his numbers are Bubby Brister-esque (with a slight boost to Hitting Power), he’s an still an option for those who want to play with him as the quarterback of the Denver Broncos. Along with the Broncos, the other teams included in this ROM are the New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, New Orleans Saints, and Atlanta Falcons. 11. http://t.co/sskOvBtcgi <== My site for #TecmoBowl, #RBIBaseball, and other historical ROM edits.
  12. I used the website http://rbi3.ca/. On this site, you upload an .xls file with the rosters along with an unmodified RBI 3 game ROM and it spits back the new, modified ROM file.
  13. Didi Gregorious is a throwback to the days when guys like Espinoza and Stankiewicz played shortstop for the #Yankees. Just filling a spot.

  14. I hear this Alex Rodriguez kid is pretty good. I don't know where he was playing last year, but he seems to be a good addition to the team.

  15. This ROM is based on the 1969 baseball season in which the World Series was won by the “Miracle” New York Mets. The teams included with the ROM are the Baltimore Orioles, New York Mets, Minnesota Twins, Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, Detroit Tigers, San Francisco Giants, Cincinnati Reds, Oakland Athletics, and Pittsburgh Pirates. 16. "Baron von Lector, I now declare you to be the Patron Saint of RBI Baseball. Congratulations on the accomplishment." Thank you, I accept the honor and will display it with pride. I've been MIA for the last few days, taking care of some college work and getting hit with a Walking Dead quality flu bug this past weekend. Earlier today, I did post a Mutant League Football de-make using the original Tecmo Bowl (http://tecmobowl.org/topic/64675-mutant-league-tecmo-bowl/#entry438667). I even got my feet wet with some sprite editing. Right now, I'm working on a historic RBI Rom based on the 1969 Miracle Mets. It'll be posted either this afternoon or tomorrow morning. This particular one is tough for me to do because I can't find any way to justify putting the Yankees in the game (80-81, #16th place).
  17. This ROM is based on the Sega Genesis, Mutant League Football. Special care was taken to ensure the teams in the ROM mirrored the strengths and weaknesses of the original game (Midway Monsters’ strong running game, Misfit Demons’ strong pass defense, Darkstar Dragons’ strong passing game, etc.). I also got my feet wet with some sprite editing which is most evident in the appearance of the spectators and a couple of the icons. BaronROMs.wordpress.com Mutant League Tecmo Bowl.nes
  18. Awesome, thank you. Just discovered Tile Layer Pro, and while playing around with that, made a crowd full of creepy looking ghost people on my 92 Tecmo ROM. Gonna use this to modify my crowd tomorrow.
  19. Is there an "Idiot's Guide To..." sprite editing? What I'm working on is turning the original Tecmo Bowl into a Mutant League Tecmo Bowl. I've got the rosters and teams done. For fun, I was hoping to change the "girl head" crowd into a "skull head" crowd. How easy would this be to do?
  20. @TecmoTurd No hijacking. I was wondering because I did an RBI3 2015 ROM and, depending on how far along you were, was going to offer up my spreadsheet that has all the statistics from the 2014 season. http://www.mediafire.com/view/s4s7g8pxbn8oin1/RBI2015.csv
  21. Slight edit to the ROM. Replaced Seattle's Stanley Seager with the corrected Kyle Seager.
