  1. thanks @bruddog those percentages make more sense. I'm starting to lose my recall with my old age lol.
  2. @msimon a player has a chance to change condition after every quarter of every game. He has a 50% chance of staying in average, 25% to go into good, and 25% to go into bad. When in good, he has a 50% chance to stay in good, a 25% to go back to average, and a 25% chance to go into excellent. ETC As far as injuries, I don't believe that condition has anything to do with it. Any time you are tackled in bounds as the ball carrier, you have a chance to get injured.
  3. Can you sign up my brother as well @SammieSmith33? He doesn't have a .org account. Info: Travis Gardner TravG23 Likes long walks on the beach
  4. Yikes! I would expect some waves from moving the tourney out of Madison, but not this harsh. Why not move it to Minneapolis? I know some good spots to hold it, and it's a central hub with a huge airport...
  5. In retrospect, I should have taken the Vikes. My bad, @SammieSmith33.
  6. Top 5 moments of the Minny Meet-Up: 1. @segathonsov and @SammieSmith33 simmed the entire regular season in order to call their matchup. They played the Super Bowl matchup that was simulated (RAI vs CHI) and played in regular season mode with injuries and season conditions and everything. Side Note: SF finished the season 8-8, lost the division to the Saints, and didn't make the playoffs... 2. When John simply laid the controller on the ground and looked for his opponents reaction in the middle of a play after throwing his patented "back shoulder" to the end zone. It was a touchdown, and he knew it. Well played @qb_browns! 3. My buddy, @RyanF actually winning a few games against some quality opponents! Maybe the light is starting to turn on??? 4. @8-bit telling me he's been scouting and watching game film on me. I certainly appreciate the level of preparation! 5. Awesome to see @BasementNemisis's kids playing the game. Gotta recruit the next generation of Tecmoers!
  7. @8-bit Thanks for the fun meet up! It was a really good time and great to hang out with some quality people.
  8. So awesome. I have in-laws in Eau Claire as well (met my wife at school there). We'll have to connect next time we need a little break and grab a beer.
  9. Hey, buddy! I think my brother and I would be interested, but we really need to know the date and time. HMU once you know the details and we can confirm then. @8-bit
  10. Thanks for the LB post @High Noon Honeycutt!! Not sure about ranking, but I've found that a minimum Running Speed (RS) of 38 is necessary to consistently pull off the lurch. Remember that a player's RS is essentially their starting speed from a dead stop. Having 31 RS just doesn't work on a reliable basis (unless they go into good condition of course). Even if the LB has decent RP, it won't help much for lurching if the RS is below 38 in my experience. So for the OG rom, someone like the Giants' LB4 Carl Banks would be the floor minimum for the LB4 lurch. So anyone with his stats or better will be consistently good at it (i.e. Haley, Greene, Childress, Bennett, Fletcher, etc.). Meanwhile, someone like Philly's Seth Joyner, who is a solid LB4 very similar to Banks, only has 31rs despite other decent stats - hence cannot be relied upon unless in good condition or better IMO. If they have only 25rs, just forget about it. Keep in mind that only LT and DT have a RS of 44 in the game. Everyone else is 38rs or less. So if you're playing with the Rams and Kevin Greene goes into bad, he's no longer a reliable lurcher from his LB4 spot.
  11. Pencil my brother and I as well, barring vacations and family obligations.
  12. Here's another, more offensive, matchup: DET vs RAMS Who you got?
  13. Another for discussion: NYJ vs ATL This was the call in the most recent TTL championship game. I chose ATL because of the star power, and I didn't want to get beat by a back-n-B to Rison. NYJ are intriguing here IMO because Easy Mac can jump pick the ATL QBs. Can kind of turn into a game of conditions, too.
  14. Thanks for the matchup post @Dotdon MIN v. MIA - I lean MIA here MIN v. CIN - Closer than people think, but Cincy has the edge here MIN v. DEN - Vikes MIN v. SD - toss up, depends on my opponent MIN v. WASH - toss up again but lean MIN MIN v. DAL - Who would ever take Dallas here?
  15. @OL' Dirty Tecmo@manyo360 I look forward to watching this game. Well written argument here, but I'm concerned about one thing. Vinny obviously has very poor PS, and I think that is accentuated when opposed by Fulcher's ability to cover so much of the field with his speed. As CIN, you could risk calling runs on defense a bit more often knowing that Fulcher can cover almost everybody. Conversely, Haddix has the advantage of being able to JJ INT Boomer, where Cincy's Fulcher does not carry the same advantage over Vinny (barring condition changes). Perhaps you two could share if these were significant factors in your matchup. Overall, it's an intriguing matchup that I hadn't previously considered. Thanks for sharing!
  16. @RatedRKO@buchos This is a really cool idea! I'd be interested in the rom if you guys get it done.
  17. I agree with you - I lean towards NE as well. It's the 31ms RBs that really changes things with a 44ms RB available for Indy. I like the matchup because it doesn't offer a stud defender aside from Agnew and Lippett - who are more difficult to use.
  18. Since SEA was pretty much the consensus versus NE. How about this one... NE vs Indy
  19. I think I tend to lean SEA also, but only because of the two 38ms RBs they have, while NE has all 31ms (which is just painful). NE's defense is clearly better though.
  20. @buck I would probably do the same thing! It's Raiders and it's not even close. At best you're in a shoot out if you're the Rams, but you have a much lower chance of actually getting a stop, IMO.
