  2. Slot L Z drive with Jerry at RB1 is deadly. That is a drawback/benefit to the WR at RB format - you can exploit so much of the defense with a fast player with high REC out of the backfield.

  3. Two plays i'd run more under the hard core format would be R+S Draw as the extension of the draw is lurch proof ( the draw play is gold vs the blitz)....and Slot L Z drive has the rb1 go out deep on a Wheel route vs the db2 or SS. One could sub in a fast wr at rb for not only run plays but that wheel route.

  4. #KumiteVI took place on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Detroit Beer Co. in Downtown Detroit. 37 participants took to the 8-bit gridiron for 6 rounds of swiss play, which seeded 20 participants to select the team of their destiny. Matthew O'Toole earned his 2nd consecutive Kumite Cup Title by defeating Francis Buennagel HOU over KC. Toolie defeated Mort for the first time in five attempts in a Tecmo major finale. Congrats to both competitors on great days! Rounding out our top four, finishing in the money were David Thompson, of Seattle, WA; and Louis Buennagel of Buffalo, NY. Brad Smigielski, Livonia, MI defeated Scott Duhl of Commerce, MI for the consolation tournament title. Congratulations to the winners, and to everyone else for their contributions in making Kumite VI an amazing day. Thank you so very much! We are always looking to improve upon each tournament for the following year, and years to come! If you have any feedback of any kind, please take a moment to drop me an email or a DM, on ways that we could improve your personal experience at Tecmo Kumite Detroit. There are certainly a number of things on that list for next year, including handling of guest tabs throughout the day - to both guest, and host, as we got stuck with a handful of them at days' end. Lastly, Matt O'Toole seemingly misplaced his winter jacket. It's a big black jacket, that had a pair of gloves, and a Kettering University hat in it. If anyone accidentally took them home with them, please drop me a line so we can get it back to him! Again, thank you so very much from the bottom of your heart for all of your contributions in making Tecmo Kumite Detroit the best event that it possibly can be. You guys are the bomb! 'Til next time Kumiteers!

  5. Ended up with 23 including old friend Ira M. who shows up at 12pm because he was calling the wrong Matt and went to the old venue first. (He lives in Florida and I had no idea he was coming) It would seem as those moving one's event back two months is not conducive to bringing in your usual crowd. We ended up playing double elim which was pretty popular. I found out the hard way that challonge sucks for matching up the loser's bracket so I'll get the final bracket out there tonight. Congrats to @randywags25 for winning. Richie B for 2nd Craig P for 3rd Ira M for 4th My biggest moment of triumph was Nebraska native Danny Noonan somehow intercepting a pass and destroying everything in his path for a TD

  7. Original hardware is my preferred opinion, however, the HDMI factor is huge with the clone systems like "Retron-5". I have a RetroPie setup as well which is convenient for messing around. For those with the "NES Classic Edition", it's easy enough to add TSB to the console. I feel the urge to pick up additional carts whenever I come across them...

  8. Is this included in TSB17? If not, why not and what can I do to make this standard? Thanks

    Do you play TSB3???

From a MAN v MAN standpoint, TSBIII has the fun factor because it is simple in its play, yet deceptively complex, due to the immense variation. This includes anything from the well-timed spin move to the combinations of where the defensive players run to after a defensive call is made to the heat-seeking fullback that won't leave your MAN defender alone. Also, there is great variety across opponents, so you cannot play everyone the same. It seems like the game would eventually dry up, but as simple as the game is from a 'play' standpoint, new combinations and events arising keep it fresh. Coaches learn your tendencies and you learn theirs so one must always evolve. Tecmo also has a flair for the dramatics, negative and positive.
