The Pats offense will be fine. They struggled and still put up 27 points which should be good for a win. That defense though.....oofa. They really have some major issues in that front seven. They really lost their way when their LB's were forced to cover. If they don't button that down quick they might be in for lots shootouts.

I updated the file this morning after catching a couple errors. I also updated the game's description as well to include more: I will be working on the game throughout the year and will release a final postseason version before the Super Bowl. Here are some screenshots of some of the new plays as well as the Rams helmet with white face masks:

Which is why I am legitimately concerned about the defense this year (especially if Hightower misses extended time) because the Pats are going to face much better QBs than Alex Smith. But onto more important topics...

View File TSB3 2017 SB LII TECMO SUPER BOWL III SEASON 2017 SUPER BOWL LII Well the football season is finally here and with that, also the fantasy football, but most important TSB yearly is back and here is the TSBIII version for you all. As I like to recognize, DRUNKEN HONKEY is the guru on TSB3 things and his guide helped me a lot, thanx a lot for all man. Remember, I'm not a grafic designer, in fact I suck as one, so I do the best I can with the graphical aspect to bring it more accurate. ROM There are two as you know: ROM A includes BROWNS & RAVENS (No TEXANS & TITANS) ROM B includes TEXANS & TITANS (No BROWNS & RAVENS) The rosters are accurate to september 6 so enjoy it. Uniforms are rearranged to look completeley real. Free Agency and Hidden Players are different. Attributes are obviously fixed to the 2016 performance, except for rookies. For the very first time, I changes the SIM values. I hope you enjoy it and remember, football is back. BTW. I can see where you're coming from. Romo definitely has the stats, but Roger had the rings. Very tough call, and neither is really a wrong answer. Thanks again for the updates, again very much appreciated. Going back to the first request, Pierce Holt was actually a very good DL, but Justin Smith was arguably one of the best. He helped SF get to the Super Bowl a few years back. Again, tough call but Justin Smith is the right call. It's all just splitting hairs with a lot of these players, and I'm absolutely not trying to nit pick your work here at all. It's just fun to talk about more than anything. Again thanks, and keep up the good work good sir.

    NFL 2017-2018 Season Discussion

Even if the Patriots struggle all season long, I still think they'll win the division--keep in mind that "bad" Patriots teams in the past all won less than 12 games, and since 2001--Brady's first start--the Patriots won less than 12 games in the regular season four times: 2002: 9-7, and lost both divisional AND Wild Card tie-breakers to the Jets and Browns respectively...probably by far the most humiliating given that one of those teams happens to be the Browns. 2005: 10-6, made it in as the 4-seed, and spent much of that season plagued by injuries. They were able to clinch the 4-seed at 9-6, however, but they won their regular season finale with Doug Flutie under center in his final career game. 2008: 11-5, and shockingly enough, out of playoff contention. Lost tie-breakers for both the division AND wild card spots to the Dolphins and Ravens respectively yet again. 2009: I think 10-6, though I have a feeling that number might actually be slightly inaccurate. By that point in time, however, the core that made up the Patriots dynasty at that time, as well as the 2007 season were old as dirt, so I think that may have had an impact on their season. Not only did they win less than a dozen games and clinch the 3-seed, they were resoundedly eliminated in the Wild Card round by the Ravens. And that's literally it. 4 "bad" Patriots seasons, and only one of them won less than 10 wins. And you know what, I still think there are at least 8 wins on their schedule: Sweeps against the Jets and Bills; 1, maybe 2 wins against the Dolphins; a matchup against the Buccaneers; and as of this moment in time, they still own the Texans, Chargers, and Steelers. They should be able to win at least 8 of those games, and if you count all ten of these games, that should be the division for you. Heck, 9 of those being wins (making it a 5-1 divisional split) could still very much be enough to win the division this year anyways. And if they bounce back against the Saints next week, you can afford to be just a little bit more comfortable as 9-10 wins becomes much more ensured.

Also, someone else where brought it up but over the third and fourth quarter of the Chiefs-Patriots game they went on a 28-3 run. those numbers just won't go away, it seems

Anything to do with passing and rec yards will be skewed to modern players due to the rule changes. You'll have guys like Flacco in thr top all time total passing yards list soon.

I see you've got Albert Wilson there making waves ... Boomer Esiason must be getting old, because he called him "Albert Lewis" (I listened to Thursday-night's RADIO broadcast of the game), and failed to correct himself. Yeah, I should've listened to MoJoDrew, before making my pick (for, MoJoDrew called it in KC's corner.)

^^^Walmart version??? Not quite. Barry wasn't 250+ pounds and didn't run over anybody.........but yes, they're running styles are very similar. He was one of my favorite players to watch back then.....He had a game in the Peachbowl in 90' where he went for over 200 yards and like 3 or 4 scores.....I'll never forget that. A great player who seemed too big to have agility like that.......but he DID. (p.s. I just noticed that you had some highlights from that Peachbowl game at the end of the film!!! That took me back...great vid!)

Also, not to take anything away from the Chiefs gameplan last night, because they did straight up beat the Pats--but let's be honest, that was probably one of, if not THE best game of Alex Smith's entire career. Dude blew his load early. That was not the Alex Smith we all know, and it won't be the Alex Smith we see throughout most of the regular season.

Just want to say that your MVP rom is awesome, I've really enjoyed it so far. If I could suggest just a couple of minor things for the next update, I would ask that Frank Gore have his number changed to 21, and that maybe Pierce Holt on the 49ers be swapped out for Justin Smith. Aside from that, keep up the great work. Very much appreciated.

Look on the bright side; at least the Jets and Bills are both projected to be quite horrible, and Mother Nature is showing just how much she hates the Dolphins and Buccaneers at this point. Maybe this will be a sign that within four years time, they'll reach the Super Bowl (alongside the Texans and Cowboys) and possibly win it. Unfortunately, the Patriots are matched up with the AFC West and NFC South this year. If they can't win in New Orleans, then it's time to get a little concerned that maybe the Pats are about to hit a brick wall faster than you can say "pass interception." But at least they can still claim the Texans, Steelers and Chargers as their bitches. So even if they do hit a brick wall, 10-6 minimum might still be good enough for the team to win the division for perhaps the final time in the Tom Brady/Bill Belichick era. Where they'll then pull off all kinds of shenanigans and somehow find a way to reach the Super Bowl. The Chiefs and Patriots had essentially killed each other off with injuries in the opening kickoff game anyways. Now the only reliable receiver left that Tom Brady has any semblance of chemistry with is the injury-plagued TE Rob Gronkowski. Who is...also...apparently...running into a brick wall....

I welcome all legendary local players back in the fold at anytime. Even without all those luminaries in the mix, I think this was the most competitive day of Tecmo I have ever been a part of with the Buennegal Boys in the mix, Ptitteri showing what he can do, and newcomers Shermy and Dan Carroll bringing enough game to make things interesting. I didn't get to square off with the KING this time, but... he got a couple nice wins! TBK a factor??? I'm not sure I fully believe it yet, but I expect big things from him in the P-town Throwdown that is inevitably happening. Details coming soon. Keep it here or follow @PortlandTecmo for updates!
