    punt return avg

I know it's hard coded, that's why I put White back there. I figured it was the only place he'd be useful. I also didn't want to beat up a good player on punt returns. I thought it was good for a punt returner to make it through a whole season without fumbling or getting injured. He had a nice return average to boot.

  3. yeah, I'm already on that ring thing - made it to the super bowl, but I'm waiting until late tonight to play it. 1st playoff game - beat the crap out of CHI nfc championship - and then had a sweet slugfest (Simms was on fire!) that I won kind of last second vs GIA, on a 4th down pass to Johnny...I had him up at WR1, and hit him right as he curled on pass 2, and he jumped up and got it and dodged 3 or 4 defenders for the go ahead score. Johnny had his season high in receptions (6) in this playoff game vs GIA - I had him up at WR1 a lot in the 2nd half. here's the screens from the 1st two playoff games. round 1 round2 YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHO MADE IT TO THE SUPER BOWL FOR AFC! just wait and see.

  4. got a game in early this morning. game 15. PHX (14-1) responded well after that tough loss versus a totally shitty DEN playbook (although DEN kept spamming the run 3 sewell run on me). once again, TUPA answers his call and makes 4 nice tosses to JJ, who could not ever seem to break free running the ball. 3 rush and 1 rec td. oh, Johnny got injured in the 4th Quarter, so I punted it away 3 or 4 times. one more regular season game to go.

  5. I'm keeping stats for each game, in anticipation. screenshots and I'm keeping track of TDs rec or rush. however, because of COM juice and being 13-1, attempts and yardage have been falling quickly.

  6. Is there a version of TSB that has the stat caps removed so we can see what JJ is really capable of over the course of a season?

  7. ok so I took a break for a couple of days only to come back and have JJ turn the ball over 3 times to the freaking redskins, with two of those fumbles being in the 2nd half. game 14. rypien could not miss, I was able to break a few runs, but passing game was ZERO, and redskins basically could not be stopped. and Johnny fumbled and lost the ball 3 times. so crap, there goes 16-0.

  8. division clinched, at 13-0, still Johnny all the time. only scores from Johnny (except safeties by the defense), no punts (unless JJ gets injured), and no lame ass FG. NOTE - Johnny finally got injured in game 12 vs 49ers, but luckily I already had a lead and was able to PUNT it away and play defense for the win. SINCE this is Johnny Season, I RESET until Johnny Came Back to play in the following game. Note that I am not resetting games once they are started, but I am resetting so that he will come back and play. anyways, here's the screens for PHX games 10 through 13. game 10 game 11 game 12, JJ was injured in the 3rd Quarter in this game, and I punted it away the rest of the game. and game 13 - I clinched the division at 13-0. In this game I was down 10-7 going into the 4th, but I scored 16 in the 4th (safety) SO, here's Johnny after 13 games. as you can see he is AVERAGING 190 on the ground and 120 in the sky per game. averaging almost 3 rush td and 1.5 rec td pergame

  10. Well since my 2nd crack at the Grogan season ended in a Super Bowl victory, I think it's high time I busted out the Johnny Johnson season and finished it this time. I'll be streaming it for dummies as I get my streams up to par. Post edit. Gotta love the counter intuitive auto correct that my Kindle has. It really is the worst. The android phones do a fairly decent job. The kindle is laughably turrible. I meant funsies not dummies. At least I think I did.

  11. Here are some more screenshots of my season: although JJ was impressive, I'd say the MVP of the season was Lonnie Young. He only managed 2 picks, but he grabbed 33 sacks! That 69 rs can be really dominant against teams with play-action plays. Also I forgot to mention in my previous post that I ran JJ from the wr reverse play sometimes when I was either inside my own 10 yard line or inside the opponent's 10 yard line. It was almost impossible to pull off with the juiced computer, so his rushing lines don't look good. Edit: I totally forgot about the best part of the season. I was playing on kb. It was pretty hard to move around on defense since I'm not used to it, and I got my ankles broken by a few players, none more disheartening than Phil Simms.

  12. Gave this a try, but I wanted to do a JJ JJ season. I used OG playbook with JJ at WR1, and also swapped Rosenbach for Tupa for about 3-4 games towards the end of the season because he went into excellent. Things went pretty well except by two losses came to New England (!) and Philadelphia. That loss to Philadelphia was crazy because Tupa (in excellent) threw 7 picks with Reggie White busting in on every play and also QB Eagles destroying my defense. Definitely the worst loss I've ever experienced, and the fact that it came vs the computer is hilarious. The hardest thing about playing this season was the combination of how long the play-action plays took to develop and Phoenix's leaky OL. JJ ended up with 106 recs for 5452 yds. I didn't keep track of conditions but JJ was in bad for at least parts of 5 games, but he still put up some really dominant performances, especially in weeks 14-16 where he went for over 400 yds in each game.

  13. It was ~~PLAY DAY~~ here at the Manyo household for Xmas... and I chose to take on the world with my good buddy Johnny Johnson, finishing a regular season in one go. My restrictions were: The Johnny Johnson Offense: only allowed to gain offensive yards and scores via Johnny Johnson on runs, passes and kick/punt returns... field goals are okay (go Del Greco!), and defensive scores are okay too (I made these rules up somewhat on the fly, so while I ran for a first down with a QB in the first game, I didn't do so after that... later in the season, instead of forcing passes to Johnny Johnson since they would often result in picks, I instead chose to run out of bounds at the line of scrimmage with my QB... a handful of times, I forgot I had Johnny at WR, for example, and ran it with Sikahema before I realized my mistake, and also accidentally threw a few passes to other guys on picked plays when I didn't push the buttons correctly, but none of these had any effect on game scores or stats) play for wins first, stats second (I never ran backwards or played negatively in order to boost Johnny's stats... sometimes I would eschew punts or field goals if I was confident in winning, but that's as extreme as I would get... I also did not throw full-field bombs to JJ indiscriminately unless I needed to, for the most part--damn he is good at those tho) if Johnny got hurt, then I was only allowed to punt or kick field goals on offense (luckily he only got hurt once, in the early part of the season, I think midway thru Week 6... but came back the next game) Never reset! (I'll post the vid below to prove it... you can watch it closely if you want, but my personal recommendation is you play it in the background while having marathon sex with a smoking hot chick... haha, yeah right, merry xmas!) 14. Forgot to save, so this is the Dallas Game all over again: 28 rushes, 135 yards, 2 tds. Also, one incredible thing happened during the game (tied 7-7 in the fourth). Mr 'always injured' Sikahema fumbled the return on his 20 yard line. And then, all of a sudden, Johnny Johnson picks up the fumble and runs the ball to the 15 yard line. The next play, he scores on a run where he jukes 5 different players. Amazing.

  15. He's in average condition. And yes, I am trying to break the all time mark for carries. My strategy is more or less the 2012 Vikings strategy of: "We have a great tailback and crappy receivers/QBs, so lets just give him as many carries as we can until he breaks in half."

  16. For some members here, I think Johnny Johnson is the Chuck Norris of this game

  17. Tecmo programmers would have given him a 69, since they gave Bo Jackson 75. However, Bo deserved at most 63ms for any of his actual 4 years played, both because he never played a full season and because he might have hurt the Raiders more than helped them in the same way that Tiki Barber hurt the Giants in '06. In '90 I would give Eric 50ms, he was not the player he was even a year before. In my '83 rom, however, it was a different story. I gave Eric the top rating of 69. On my all time greats my top rating is 63 and Eric is one of four players who got it. Bo was one of five who got 56.
