I didn't notice this project until just now (browsing through the entire message thread) - this looks amazing. I'm predominantly an NES TSB guy first (and if I play any SNES TSB at all, it's only been TSB II Special Edition). But this is something that I would make room in my starting rotation for...

Jstout makes it so the computer QB will try to throw to an open receiver rather than relying only on the random chances set in the play design http://tecmobowl.org/topic/53837-cpu-find-open-receiver/ JUNE: 3. My hack that lets you throw lob passes by pressing the start button http://tecmobowl.org/topic/55448-use-start-instead-of-b-button-to-throw-lob-passes/ 5. My special teams hack that lets you return punts out of the endzone, fair catch punts, touchback kickoffs, take instant timeouts by pressing start, and down the ball by pressing select. http://tecmobowl.org/topic/55558-time-out-touchback-fair-catch-kneel-hack/ 6. Jstout posts a great guide about programming the NES complete with various examples. http://tecmobowl.org/topic/55469-nes-programming-info/ JULY 7. This makes OL play look very realistic. It also allows high HP RB's to push low HP defenders forwards. http://tecmobowl.org/topic/57127-push-pull-hack-by-bruddog/ In progress 1. 2pt conversion- I just need time to work on this and squeeze it into the 32 team rom somehow Future ideas: 1. Ability table for certain teams to be better at causing fumbles 2. Ability table for player specific injury rates If I forgot anything major let me know

that hadn't made much sense after i posted anyways as it left gaps for guys with more rs than ms. Perhaps its more to do with the conditioning but on my own I've clearly seen guys with more rs have better success on the deep route in the black screen. I'm talking the difference of a diving incomplete and a diving catch. Maybe a pixel or two if you measure it that way. This is why I hate taking guesses even when I look at a post from earlier as I figured I hadn't understood that. Thanks for the clarification. i was hoping to run this by you to get a clear understanding and sorry if I hashed up your post from earlier. Its often I build my game plan going on gut reactions then I hope later some sort of logic justifies what I have been noticing in many practice games. perhaps they had to put another program in to keep wr's open and it would make sense now that I think about it. it took me about a year to figure out how to take advantage of the openings I kept noticing in the black screen with this technique. I never really thought much off it until I realized it was possible in the right situation to take advantage of this. Perhaps they didn't think it was a big deal or notice this was happening. I would guess they programmed the db getting beat to catch up to take away easy passes. It would help explain how in the right games with AC in good he can beat Db1 on det deep almost every play like this. You can't always hit him with Wilson. Still the opportunities to throw deep like this is often in a lot of these match ups with these bad DBS.

    RBI Baseball Editor

I decided I wanted to take on a new project for shits and giggles. I have total baseball fever right now, and I have been playing a lot of RBI. Needed a break from Knobbe for a while, so I stumbled over to dee-nee for some RBI chit chat, and found the inspiration for my new project. There's a great editor out there for editing the original RBI game, created by a dude who is best explained to knobbe folk as "The Jlstout of RBI editing." He is known online as Nightwulf, and he created a kick-ass editor for the community. The only problem is that it's a web-page, so it cold potentially go down at some point. Plus, even as Nightwulf will admit, it needs an update. Being someone who likes to have a hard copy of things, as well as wanting to improve upon NW's interface, I sought out to mimic most of the nightwulf editor functionality into a windows app and hopefully improve upon it in someways. So, I started mapping locations, gathering info, and hammering out code. I now have it to a point where it's ready for a beta release. You can view the official thread over at dee-nee by clicking the link below...I'm telling you all about this because this is a place to share our creations. Hopefully some of you RBI fans get some use out of it...or even better, hopefully this inspires some of you RBI fans hiding in the closet to show your face... Fans of TSBTool Supreme will know this interface very well...thanks for the inspiration BAD_AL. Without further adieu, I present you... Welcome to the Thunderdome IX official rules and information thread. In here you will find everything you need to know about the rules of the tournament. Its long and i dont expect everyone to read the entire thing. This will be pinned and just a resource for you in case you have a question. Tourney Info Tournament Director: War Machine. Participants: 40 ROM: TPC_TSB_tapmeter.nes Condition checker program is ALLOWED Tournament site: Single Elimination Bracket: http://challonge.com/TDIXbracket . Group Play: http://challonge.com/TDIX Prizes: 1st Prize: $200 for Madison (cash if cant attend), Free Madison entry (no replacement prize if not attending), Streamed Game at Madison 2nd Prize: $75 and free tshirt from tb.org store Important Dates: 1/12: Groups announced 1/12: After groups announced, games can begin 1/26: First deadline to get at least one group game in. All subsequent deadlines will be announced in advance via discord or the forums. If your opponent for your next game is known, you can go ahead and play that game. No need to wait! Goal is to have this tournament completed 3-4 weeks prior to Madison. Tournament Format and Team Selection Can be found at this link. http://tecmobowl.org/forums/topic/69290-thunderdome-ix-format-details/#comment-478124 Game Play Rules RBs can play RB, WR or TE without restriction. WTs (WRs & TEs) can play RB, WR or TE... BUT THEY MAY NEVER RUN THE BALL FROM THE RB POSITION. Any player may run the ball on reverses, however. WR's who are designated as RB's in the game because of team formation (Ernest Givins, Ricky Sanders, etc.) are WR's and CANNOT run the ball. Use of DL is allowed but no LURCHING! You must bump/grapple an opposing player or go around the tackle. Use of fourth man down on FGs and PATs is LEGAL. Onside kicks are legal at any point in the game. Post-game: A recap must be posted in the forums in the recap threads. OVERTIME: There are no ties. If a game is tied at the end of regulation, the participants will play sudden death OT. If nobody scores in the OT session, a new game will begin (same playbooks must be used!) and the first participant to score will be declared the winner. Please save the state after the first OT and also save state after 2nd OT is over. RECORD ALL GAMES: RECORD ALL GAMES (via NSV, twitch or some other source), save the state, and upload the state to the league website. Winner is responsible for uploading the state. Either player may upload the video after the state has been loaded. DESYNCS: In the event of a game desyncing, the owners involved need to man up and sort it out. If they can't, the tournament director will make a determination about what should be done. Generally speaking, the game ought to be replayed from the point of the desync if possible. NO QUITTING: Do not quit, give up, forfeit, or throw any tournament game. Always compete to win, and always strive to maintain the integrity of the tournament. Do not skip the coin toss unless there is mutual agreement to do so. After the game, if you lose, you must allow a reasonable amount of time for your opponent to get a save state and snap of the game summary screen. Don't be an "asshole" in-game either, which can be defined in a variety of ways, but for now shall remain the sole discretion of the tournament director to interpret and enforce. Remember though, in case you ever need to file a complaint, to ALWAYS RECORD... for without video proof it's far less likely any action will be taken on your behalf. CHEATING: No collusion between owners. No using turbo. No using the play-picking program. However, the Conditions Checker program is permissible. If you are new and don't know about this program, you might be interested in learning more about it (allows you to see the conditions of all players, offense/defense, on both teams on a seperate side window)... it can be downloaded somewhere on this website. CONSEQUENCES OF CHEATING: To be determined by the tournament director on a case by case basis. Please lets not get to this point. COMPLAINTS: If you think your opponent has broken any of the game rules or the game was unplayable due to lag or desynchs, please register your complaint with them. If a just conclusion is not reached between the two contestants, or if the violation affects the result of the game, then you may file a complaint AFTER THE GAME with the tournament director by sending him a PM. Cases of game rule violations will be dealt with on a game-by-game basis; possible penalties may include, but are not limited to, a forced replay or forfeited win.
