  1. I remember back in the day making a rom with the best offensive players + worst defensive players vs best defensive players vs worst STARTING offensive players. Offense had the edge. Maybe if you took out QB eagles it would be a fairer fight.

  3. I've only owned two Nintendo consoles since the mid 80s, the original one (I had two over the course of 18 years, b/c as we know they were meh design and simply did not last all that long) and I got my hands on the FS Twin (NES/SNES) anout 8-9 years ago. I must have dropped it or something b/c it too now is no longer working properly. So which console do you use or prefer. I know a friend with the small single cartridge unit (not sure the name of it, see pic below) console but that seems a bit of a backwards move since it is only NES. Is getting another dual unit the way to go, if so which one is the best one out there today? Thx.

  4. just to be clear though: if you change the stance of the outside LB, that's a change that affects all teams, so all teams will then be in that hybrid 4-3 (with one outside LB from the Tecmo standard 3-4 defense sitting in a 3 point stance . . . linebacker by position but lineman by stance).

  7. Idk but now I want to make a ROM with the top offenses combined with the worst defenses and vice versa. So Pitt would possibly remain unchanged lol.

  8. Good point, I can see taking on Mossi at RB vs an optimal position colts scrub then Bentley and Blockers running over Lippett. IND receivers aren't bad either, always thought I got a "steal" when I drafted Hester or Brooks in the later rnds of the HSTL draft. Bizzaro World match up. San Fran Offense and IND Colts Defense as a team. Would that team still rank in top ten of tecmo teams?

  9. Yes, the defensive instructions start at xA010 and end at xBFFF. So if you start at that section and search for every D0 18 0C EC string (the LOLB's starting position and stance) and change the EC to EA, you'll be all set.

  10. I like Indy. Since the NE offense is so slow they won't break a huge play on Indy, and you can MAN 11 different guys for optimal position lol. Perhaps, it also comes down to how comfortable someone is MANning Lippett at DB2.

  11. Is it in a safe part of Detroit? What parts of Detroit are or aren't safe so I can get a Hotel and not get my car stolen.

  12. There's still a couple of layers to edit but the players will have faces on the player data screen again. This is not how the final screen will look, but just letting every one know we're still at it!

  13. Out of all the projects out there on the web for retro gaming this one has got me the most excited out of any of them. Hell even more excited then new games that are out... I love the college games you guys have done and seeing what you guys are striving to make happen on this one I know we will all be blown away!! I've been following this thread for a while and finally decided to chime in and in following it for soo long I know the simple answer to when it is done and ready is WHEN ITS READY!! So without being too much of a pain in the ass,.... is a release in time for the Super Bowl realistic? It would be awesome but I know the pride you guys must take in this so please "serve no fries before their time". lol. Now back to a great day of college ball on TV and all the rest of you tecmo brothers enjoy your FOOTBALL WEEKEND!! ...............................OUT!

  14. Well keep it up. If I had access to all this information when I was your age, I might have gone into gaming. But gaming wasn't the big business as it is today. I'd love to see what you've done with your games. You should post them. People may not like them but that's a great chance to learn. At some point I will sit down and pass along all that I've learned about Hex and Assembly. Who knows, this might be your doorway to becoming a game designer.

  15. You guys already are legends. I, for one, am happy that you trained in on TSB III. Overall it doesn't get the love, but there is love out there nonetheless. Thanks.
