ihoagied
pro-t flare d.. the r&s one is better for a beginner or novice, but for the more advanced tecmoer pro-t flare d can be basically unstoppable even when called.

Or are certain positions always open to a play picked??

ApolloSpeed
WTE flea flicker... tricks em every time. the cpu probably...... but a decent manned defense player will sack that shit in a heartbeat! All flickers and most playactions where you have no control over the QB for nearly 8 seconds (real time...not tecmo time ) are all this way. buck
that was a joke... dammit, I've been practicing the finer points of that play all day...now you tell me you were joking!
dajabec
this r&s pass might be the second best play here to the pro-t flare, but is is the best r&s pass imo, and since i like the r&s runs, it fits better in my playbook. there are other good pro-t pass plays
EdibleAntiPerspirant
Pro T Flare D and Shotgun X Curl are my two favorite passing plays in any slot... I give the edge to Pro T Flare D.
bruddog
the R & s pass is so good b/c often you have at least 2wr's open. One short and one deep.
Bad Moon Rison
Seriously, how is the R&S pass losing in the voting? I used to think Pro T Flare D was better... then I played people online. It's really good, but it doesn't compare to R&S Z Fly.

Big Daddy Beast
I hate picking a #2 pass for my playbook because three of my four favorites (#4's Redgun Z Slant being the oddman out) are in the #2 slot.I guess I slightly prefer the Shotgun X Curl to the Pro T Flare D and R and S Z Fly. Bad Moon Rison
Seriously, how is the R&S pass losing in the voting? I used to think Pro T Flare D was better... then I played people online. It's really good, but it doesn't compare to R&S Z Fly.really? Why do you prefer it ?1) It has two short and two long. Usually, one of these four receivers is open.2) The short receivers are spaced far enough that it's difficult to cover both of them.3) It's fairly accurate when throwing across the field.4) You can pass to the bottom receiver quite easily if he's open right away.5) If the play is called, you can throw a timing JJ up top and the receiver catches it squarely about half the time for a solid 10 yard gain. In other words, the hot route for this play gains more yards than Pro T Flare D, which might not even succeed if defended well. It's hard to defend the R&S hot route because of the jumping catch the receiver does.
bruddog
Actually its rather easy to defend the hot route with a little practice provided your db doesn't suck badly.
Knobbe
Actually, the TE is typically wide open on a blitz here as well.Actually its rather easy to defend the hot route with a little practice provided your db doesn't suck badly. bruddog
Rod is correct and RB 2 (lined up below the top WR) isn't a bad option on a called play either if he's slow.
ApolloSpeed
It's hard to defend the R&S hot route because of the jumping catch the receiver does.that's probably only if your receiver only has 56rec or higher....right?
gripsmoke
Nah, anyone can make a jumping reception, even 6re guys.
operagost
The TE is always open on a ProT flare D blitz.
BO FB Offtackle Left
The TE is always open on a ProT flare D blitz. Not if your opponent knows what they're doing. You call the play on D you HAVE to get in front of the TE.Also if your QB sucks he might throw it away from the TE, increasing the chance of a pick.
