NFL 2017-2018 Season Discussion

Recommended Posts

Some intriguing players I think of going into the season, right off the bat ...

Blount - On a new team (Eagles)

Woodhead - (Ravens)

Isaiah Crowell - The Back that keeps on giving (Browns, reason to believe)

J.J. Watt - the Return

Jordan "The Bulldozer" Howard - Bears RB (of 1,300+ rushing yds last season!)

Munnerlyn - back to the Panthers

Ty Montgomery - swiss-army Cheesehead

VINCENT Jackson - One last hurrah?

Do you take some sort of perverse pleasure in watching the Cowboys fall apart?

I just wanted to highlight a line by Jason Garrett from the article above, because it's precious.

"We've got a track record of being able to take guys that made some mistakes early on in their career and they get better. They grow and they develop and they become great citizens and great players. We have a number of those guys on our team right now."

Hahahahhaahahahhahahahahahah! Who knew Jason Garrett was such a comedian!

I'm of Irish lineage; tragi-comedies are sort of my thing.

Are you not entertained?!?

I feel bad for Lucky but he wasn't going to make the team this year.  But yeah, the police near DC really contribute to the shitshow that is the Cowboys. 4-12 is on the horizon. Seems like a Redskinz troll job...

Most non Cowboys fans do.

I would be enjoying the shitshow too, but Dak Prescott was the greatest Mississippi State player of all time, so I'm rooting for his success.

I will admit that I feel a little bad for Prescott. Seems like a decent dude for as much as television speculation will get you. Jason Witten, too. I'm sure there's a bunch of 'good guys' on the Cowboys' team. Jason Garrett is a bumbling clown to me, I have no strong feelings either way, other than that he sucks. ;)

Now, Jerry Jones, the franchise most of the time, and a significant portion of the fan base? The worst.

Jason Garrett has some apologizing to do...

Garret already had a lot of apologizing to do for all the games he's blown.  after he apologizes for being a bad coach, then he can apologize for being a dick.

I guess that TV NFL viewing was down and they did a survey, turns out a decent percentage of the loss of viewers was the result of those guys (Kaep, etc) that had the pre-game anti-American antics, etc.

and people wonder why a sub-average QB like Kaep can't get a job in the NFL.

two possible reasons:

1. you suck as a QB

2. your unnecessary pre-game antics lost the company you work for millions of dollars.

Hey guys, I almost feel bad for coming here and asking a bunch of questions. I've lurked the boards for a few months and finally have some time to set aside to ask some things. Please don't be offended by my newbiness.

A group of friends and I want to SIM football. We are Simmers, mostly we SIM Fire Pro Wrestling  (before Returns and now Fire Pro Wrestling World). That community is much like this one, we've been making new memories using our favorite classic game (which is now having a rebirth with this new steam version).

Essentially we want to start out with the original 32 teams and rosters, pick our teams and simulate the games (one person would likely do the simming from their PC) the results would be posted. And we would come up with all kinds of other storylines and stuff that would make it more of an interactive story. We also want to track stats, assign awards etc, and then draft players and start a new season.

      Is this possible with TSB?

If so, would anyone be able to point me in the direction of the stuff we need? I'm a bit overwhelmed by it all, and I want to make sure I get the right mods etc.

Not great, but pretty good Regular-Season results from everyone involved...

      Overall:

      1. @Mike Gordan  174-82  {68%}  =  "11-5"
      2. @buck  170-86  {66%}  =  10-5-1
      3. @Bodom  169-87  {66%}  =  10-5-1
      4. Bolt:  158-98  {62%}  =  10-6
      5. @TecmoSuperFan  155-101  {61%}  =  9-6-1
      6. @kamphuna8  144-112  {56%}  =  9-7

However, I commend everyone for having the nuutsacken not to go 0-256.
