I don't think Romo should retire.

I think it's stupid and retahded, and I don't want to hear about it.

about 12 days away from the Draft. Looking through some of the prospects, i noticed Barry's son is among those that are destined to end up not being drafted. Think anyone'll take a look at him as a undrafted free agent?

Unfortunately (or sometimes fortunately) in most cases the child is not like the parent.  He's a different build-- taller, more slender--  and doesn't have Barry Sr's shiftiness or much else.  He played behind McCaffrey at Stanford, and after transferring to OSU he only had like 28 carries for 96 yards.  He'll be nothing more than a UDFA flier and unlikely he'll even make a team.

Well i mean it'd always be worth a shot to try and coach him up on a practice squad or something. Even undrafted has pulled a few gems.

barry's son also probably lived a life of luxury and undeserved respect, unlike barry, who had to earn and work for everything he got.

The life of luxury and undeserved respect turned out pretty well for Peyton and Eli Manning. From what I've seen of Sanders Jr., he's just not very talented.

the manning's come from a different generation/breed of men than barry's mid-90's Millennial babies.

I suppose i am a bit delusional that BJ will even get a shot with anyone considering quite a few legacy players never pan out. At least he could always go to Canada and hone his skills or something. Can't wait to see Moss' son Thaddeus if/when he comes up for the Draft

The orb I've consulted foresees the Panthers being back in the playoff mix ...

(Last year, Cam took the year off.)

When you say Millennial babies, I hope that you're just talking about athletes. Because let me tell you, I don't think that I know a lot of people that, like me, have to work long 40 hour weeks on top of attending school before they turn 20, would appreciate you calling them babies.

I think you guys are both right about Barry Jr...  Came from a luxurious background and just isn't that talented.  Reminds me of Fred Taylor's son, Kelvin...  who was so-so in college, drafted late and hasn't amounted to anything in the pros.  Doesn't run the ball anything like his dad did.

you are not a baby, PockyCandy, you are indeed a man.

Derek Carr says that Oakland Raiders fans that don't stay loyal to the Raiders when the team departs for Las Vegas, aren't true Raiders fans.

In related news, Derek Carr thinks that when your wife leaves you for a richer dude, you should still be loyal to her.

AP's having trouble getting signed, huh?

How 'bout we sub Peterson out, and sub back in Ray Rice?

It's being reported that Malcolm Butler looks like he's going to stay with the Patriots this year.

I would never go so far as to say that the Patriots are a lock to win another Super Bowl. Injuries, the 'any given Sunday' model of the NFL... there's a lot of reason why it might not happen.

That being said, I cannot remember a time since 2007 when a Patriots roster was as stacked as it is now. The rest of the NFL looks like a Triple-A league compared to the Patriots.

I am not sure i like all this talk of the Chiefs drafting DeShaun Watson. 1, he's not guaranteed to fall to the Chiefs, 2. As much as i love Andy Reid, none of the QBs he's drafted these past couple of drafts have panned out. 3. The last time the Chiefs drafted a QB in the first round, they went 6-10 that year [1983]. I think they'd be better off passing on him and going towards D-line or Linebacker to replace aging Derrick Johnson.

It's high time the Bears're relevant again.

NFL take note:  without it, your ratings will flounder

      Happy Friday!

This is the 3rd seasonal release of Ken Griffey Presents: Major League Baseball 2017.  If you enjoyed 2015 and 2016, you'll love 2017!

The game-play and everything else carries over from the previous versions.  There is one major difference from the previous versions: the Homerun Derby.  In 2015, the Derby retained the original participants (Nick Noheart, Can O'Corn, etc).  In 2016, these were replaced with baseball legends like Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth.  In 2017, these have been replaced by the participants in last season's MLB Homerun Contest (Giancarlo Stanton, Adam Duvall, Corey Seager, Mark Trumbo, and Todd Frazier).

Also, I did change up a few of my formulas to (hopefully) closer represent their respective players, namely pitcher speed and control.

      Enjoy!

When I was at the Detroit Kumite tournament last weekend, a number of players from the Cleveland area who I had never met before attended as well and we all had a great time!  Many of these guys already get together a few times a year to play casual Tecmo Super Bowl at various venues.     I collected emails and some cell phone numbers for players that wanted to provide one.  This post is to see who would be interested in getting together potentially quarterly to play Tecmo Super Bowl and perhaps consider doing a Fantasy Football League in the fall for anyone who enjoys both Tecmo and Fantasy Football and lives in or near Northeast Ohio.   If this is something that interests you, please message me and provide your email address and cell phone number, as I will be creating a text distribution group in addition to the email distribution list once we finalize the initial details.  If you could also let me know ideas for places to meet, how many systems, cartridges, controllers and TVs you would be willing to share with the group, that would also be helpful.   The idea is to simply get a group of great guys together semi regularly who enjoy both Tecmo Super Bowl and NFL football.   Thanks in advance for your consideration.  More to follow after I collect everyone's thoughts and responses.
