DRB
Just joined the forum today, have played for years, and while I consider myself good at the game after reading some stuff in here and elsewhere I see there are things I am not as advanced at as others. So first question, what is the best way to avoid auto dive when on defense? I seem to dive at targeted receiver a lot even when taking certain measures to avoid it. It's frustrating and as you all know can cost a ton a YAC.
bruddog
You have to decide if you think you can make it close enough to where you will either reach an open WR in time or if the auto dive will. If not best to stay plenty far away so that a dive will be too far away to be triggered. Tunnelrunner
Dotdon
Agree as usual with Bruddog, you just have to be far enough away. Sometimes I'll even have to run away from the WR a bit first if I know I won't make it to break up the pass/INT. A lot of it is timing and "circling like a shark" on defense. Once you get a routine it gets easier and now I very rarely ever am in that situation. Tunnelrunner and bruddog
