4 Weeks to go, Who you got?

158 posts in this topic

Did I mention there's a double-header this Sunday?

01/22/2017

3:05 PM e.t., G.B at ATL

-----------------------------------

6:40 PM e.t., PIT at N.E

I see that TSF made his CC(/SB) picks, already.  And I fully expect fatty to be channeling @Bodom, once more.

Though, for my part, I hope it's an ATL/PIT matchup; but, meh, I don't really care about the AFC at this point (and haven't made my picks, yet) ...

All BORGgers, Across the Board:  Get in on this, Hombres !!!!!

So much talk about Aaron Rogers lately that I kind of feel like Atlanta is going to stomp Green Bay. I'll take Atlanta.

Patriots have owned the Steelers for years in the regular season and post-season at Gilette. Eventually the Steelers will get their due. Honestly, it could be this Sunday. But I'm a Patriots fan so of course I'm going with the Patriots.

Can't wait for Sunday. While the divisional round in the playoffs may be the best weekend of football, this Sunday's conference championships are certainly the single best day of football.

SUNDAY.

I'm going GB/NE because I can't stand ATL and there is noo way PIT keeps up with the Brady machine.

Guess I'll go with the home faves NE/ATL. Early lines suggest about a 66% chance for each team. NE (aka BB and TB) will probably outhink Pit and they are at home. Pit's stars would have to really shine for Pit to win I think and brady would have to have at least 1 bad int.

GB injuries really starting to mount in the secondary which will be rough. But Julio may only play limited snaps again. Also GB run D has been pretty good all season. Hard to count out rodgers but Matty Ice + shanahan has been deadly as well.  Should be a fun one.

Two of my three erroneous picks were going against the Packers; which was complete idiocy on my part, because I knew how dangerous they were coming in... (that I at least should have picked them to beat the Giants.)  But will they be THIS dangerous, to beat a red-hot Falcons club???

And, do the Steelers really stand a chance against the Patriots?

Only if Roethlisberger gets his head straight, and stops bein' such a Brady beaver

I'm with you, Blot.  I think G.B.'s luck runs out today.  I'll bone with PIT, too.

ATL.

PIT

Looking forward to these games.

I have a feeling the Patriots season will be won or lost on Michael Floyd.

And, Rodgers - barring nfl intervention - is not leader-enough (imo) to guide his team to the Championship; perhaps ever again

Well no surprises today... games going as expected. Pit D getting shredded like they do seemingly every time they play N.E

Gotta feel happy for the Falcons, tho.

New England can go *dance in the rain*

Still, an ATL-N.E sb beats a G.B-PIT rematch.  That would've blown

I'm so happy that it's ATL-NE.  F aa-ron, he's a pecker.  The steelers looking baffled playing the Patriots never gets old to me.  All Hail the Goat, Tom Brady, kneel before him you lowly peasants.  That being said, the line comes out at NE-3.  My gut (huge that it is) said immediately to go with ATL+3... but... Tom and Bill... hmmm.  Right now, I say ATL+3.

Stat of the Weekend:

Julio Jones, ATL, 9 rec, 180 yards, 2 tds

Chris Hogan, NE, 9 rec, 180 yards, 2 tds*

*Way to go MIA and BUF, both cut Hogan, well done assclowns.  For the record, the NYJ weren't even smart enough to sign him in the first place.  And, we wonder how Tom and Bill have been so dominant in the AFC East.

I live outside DC and enjoy the misery that is Redskins radio during my daily commute.  The Patriots have had 10 AFC Championship appearances and in the same time frame the Skins have made just 4 playoff appearances and went 0-4.  Love it.

Way to go Cleveland for once again being inept with talent. There are more former Browns in this Super Bowl than in the past few.

I think its more they don't come up with schemes to utilize the talents players like Hogan have.

I think its more they have no clue how to utilize/coach up players that have underwhelming raw athletic skills but may be great at clearly defined roles or in great schemes.

Best play might be a teaser:

ATL +9 and under 65.

OR

NE +3 and under 65

ATL are going to be crowned, and the patriots are going to begin a slippery slide out of fake dynasty-hood.  Gracias

Steelers played like dog doo, bunk.  Like dog doo.

I thought they might come with more passion.  but they were clownin (kind of like the Miami Dolphins), and seemed content to lose... (including their coaching cheerleaders.)

our bads... we shouldn't have boned with pit.

That's what I call a "risk-pick" - and they only pay dividends at about a 50/50 clip

Not a good casino bet
