I can do it for you, it won't take too long to do.  tell me exactly what you want the juice set to and I will send you the rom in a PM.

That would be fantastic.  I think with my feeble skills, a +8 would probably be the sweet spot.  Thanks!!  Much obliged. :)

Every year I look forward to a co-op option. How difficult would it be to implement two MAN players on the same team?

On offense: P1 controls QB, P2 can switch from RB to WR pre-snap. (I understand if it would be too difficult to switch to WR pre-snap. I'd settle for only RB)

On defense: P1 and P2 can select their player, pre-snap, as always.

There are no plans to implement any co-op play on this rom now nor in the future

just my opinion, but I don't really enjoy the 4-3 defenses, nor do I like the idea that they might cause crashes or glitches.

Thanks Knobbe!  Yes its an old emulator. Wii was modded about 6 years ago or so. But I've been fine with the downloads every year so far.

Completely agree.  The last time I played a rom with 4-3 defenses was a few years ago and I thought it was heavily flawed from a blocking scheme standpoint -- too many holes to exploit -- and if that's what's causing problems with the TB.org rom, then removing that hack seems like a reasonable solution.

The LOLB plays closer to the line of scrimmage than his counterpart on the other side (ROLB), so when translating a real-life 4-3 to the Tecmo 3-4, I assign positions like this:

DE = LOLB

DT = LE

DT = NT

DE = RE

weakside LB = ROLB

middle LB = RILB

strongside LB = LILB

Most NFL 4-3 defenses employ a hybrid defensive end/rush LB type, so that makes it easy when deciding which DE to slide to LOLB.

Also, vs. the 1back set (far more common than the 2back set, at least in my rom), the weakside LB will have nobody lined up across from him on the line of scrimmage, which is the way it should be.  The LOLB (real-life DE in the 4-3) WILL face a blocker at the line, so that works too.

I'm just as guilty for all the bitching, but at least folks here aren't afraid to voice their observations and opinions.  Thanks as always Tborg team for your efforts.

I found a couple of errors on roster -

Tampa Bay has WR4 & TE2 both same name but different face:

Adam Humphries #11

WR4 25RS, 25MS, 44REC

TE2 31RS, 38MS, 44REC

NFC Pro Bowl Team

Has Rob Gronkowski as TE. (NE being in AFC a strange one)

I've started a coach season with the 49ers twice, and both times the game has reset during the first quarter of the first game. Last time it happened when I was about to tackled for a safety, so that was nice :) Anyway, I wanted to bring it to your attn.

the seller actually is a rude prick - I asked him a couple of years ago when he selling a 2013 or 2014 cart if he did the hacking work on it - he wrote me back very rude along the lines of "This is not a hack, this is a Tecmo Bowl Cartridge I'm selling" - then he blocked me from bidding on any of his items.

Total D-Head!

      This thread is for all of your NFL 2017-2018 season discussion.

      There is no other way to start this thread. Everything else for Tom Brady is just gravy.

      View File NCAA Tecmo Bowl 2017
      This is NCAA Tecmo Bowl 2017!

      Using the original Tecmo Bowl (not Tecmo Super Bowl), this ROM consists of 32 NCAA football schools.  I used a few different criteria when determining which of the 120+ teams to use in this game, from historical reputation (i.e. Notre Dame, Alabama), TB.org community interest (i.e. Syracuse, Purdue), recent success (i.e. Boise St., Oregon), and the military academies.

      Using the original Tecmo Bowl's ratings as a template, the players were rated based on 2015 season statistics, 2016 partial season statistics, various Heisman watch websites, and other sources.

      Rosters, ratings, home/away uniforms, cutscenes, and other small details were updated to ensure this is as authentic of an NCAA experience as this 8-bit simulation can provide.

      Aside from teams selection (as I'm sure not everybody will agree with my selections), if there are any glaring errors, please bring them to my attention.

      Enjoy!

      View File Tecmo Bowl 2017
      Amidst the sea of Tecmo Super Bowl 2017 releases, here's a ROM release for the original of the series, Tecmo Bowl 2017.

      This game contains all 32 NFL teams (expanded from 12).  There is also a feature that allows you to choose your CPU opponent, as opposed to originally letting the CPU choose, in Exhibition mode.

      Rosters are based 99% off of depth charts provided by NFL.com and CBSSports.com, with a few exceptions taking into consideration suspensions (Tom Brady, Le'veon Bell) and other factors.  Statistics and ratings are based on those provided by Pro-Football-Reference.com.

      A special thanks goes out to TheFes75 and TecmoTurd for their assistance.

      In keeping with tradition, the original Tecmo Bowl (and Tecmo Super Bowl) were notorious for their "beasts," like Bo Jackson, Christian Okoye, QB Eagles, Mike Singletary, Jerry Rice, and more.  Well, Tecmo Bowl 2017 is no exception.  Some of the "beasts" (based on career bodies of work and current work) included in this ROM are:
      RB - Adrian Peterson, Chris Johnson
      WR - Larry Fitzgerald, Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham
      DB - Darrelle Revis
      DE/LB - James Harrison, JJ Watt, Ndamukong Suh
      KR - Devin Hester

      Growing up, I preferred this version of Tecmo Bowl to Tecmo Super Bowl, despite the lack of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the game.  To this day, I prefer Tecmo Bowl to Tecmo Super Bowl for the sheer sit-down-and-play factor.

      If there's anything glaring that I missed, please bring it to my attention.  Enjoy!
