HSRL 1970 ROM Release Thread: Super Bowl is Out!

Weeks one and two are out! 

 

It's September of 1970 and Richard Nixon is president.   America is in the midst of the Vietnam War.  M*A*S*H is a hit at the box office. Throughout the preseason NFL teams were getting pumped up by Edwin Starr's #1 hit.

The first two weeks of the season, Motown continued to top the charts, as Starr was supplanted by an inspirational tune by Diana Ross.

Week 6 is out as we near the end of October.  The Jackson Five will dominate the top of the charts for the next five weeks.  That little Michael could have a bright future if he hits a few gain rolls.

We're into mid-November and now 10 of the 14 weeks have been released.  The new number one hit of the land essentially describes the way I'm feeling about my squad these days.  How about you?

Pretty easy for me, I will have to go with the #5 on the 1970 Billboard top 100.  "War"

 

Not just because of the name but the main words are fitting even though my record may say otherwise.  "War!  Huh! yeeeah!...Whaat is it good for....... absolutely nothing!"

Remember that this is only a 14-week season, folks, so there are now all but two ROMs released. 

 

The eight-game deadline is Thursday night (or Friday morning when I get my first look).  Psycho gets his demerit revoked for having all games in at the time of the ROM release.  Good job!

The final two weeks have been released!  The smoky playoff picture will clear up as some fortunate teams get miracles in their final games, while Smokey Robinson and the Miracles rule the top of the charts.
