QBVIKINGS ROM New 2014-2015 Rosters As Of 7/14/14 for 2014!!!

28 posts in this topic

Brand new QBVIKINGS ROM for 2014!!!!!!

SNES and NES versions included!

Every player rated.

Depth charts updated based upon latest camp reports with some liberties here and there just as the original Tecmo creators did. I'm talking about guys like aj MCCARRON, keith WENNING, landry JONES, and terrelle PRYOR.

NOTE: If you are looking for an easy game, DO NOT DOWNLOAD. This rom has max juice. If you can get Oak-Town or Jax to the playoffs, you are a stud.

Enjoy and I welcome all feedback.

This rom includes too many hacks to mention so thank you to all of you out there who have made this game so much better and allowed it to last throughout the years.

****Updated Dolphins correct jersey numbers for WRs added SNES version

******There are subtle roster differences between the two versions. See if you can spot them. :)

********UPDATED NES Uniforms on 7/21

This is awesome! Great work as always!

Any chance of you changing Mike Wallace to #11 and Gibson to 10?

If not no big deal not trying to sound picky

Sounds like you are ready to create a ROM of your own. Download TSBtoolSupreme and give it a try. Also, here is a rom with a cool playbook: http://tecmobowl.org/topic/58617-tecmo-super-bowl-2012-13competitive-playbook/

That's what i used to change team colors...I'd like to create my own game with my own playbooks change the colors of the post in their true wellow color and much more ... unfortunately i didn't have the good tools to get my imagination goes...so i don't think TSBtool is used to create playbook so if you could tell me if there is anyone else that can advize me in order to get this game more faithful ...it' would be tight....

thanks again to everyone that find the game is worth playing on those new colors and shoot out to QBVIKINGS!!!!

Also if someone could explain me what ""juiced"" or ""vanilla"" means? ...i think it's about the difficulty or game speed ..though

Ran through the afc playoffs.  bangals, broncos.  Done.

The Bears gave me trouble in the final, though.

Sweet! Thank you!

What team did you play as?

I am playing with the Bears and finished 10-6, beat the Pack in wild card now playing Saints, winning 14-9 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Great job on the ROM. I started out 2-0 with the 49ers but realized the game is too long. Probably just gonna leave it at 6 min. I could see this being very difficult with a scrub squad like you said. Thanks for the hard work you put into this.

Yeah I know... super bummer on the limitations of SNES. Download the NES version and you will have a good time. Talent wise the Lions are stacked.

the Blimps, of course

Yeah, the Bears are studs:  Forte continues on his HoF-bound track, the wideouts are beastin', and JAllen lends some pressure on D

Hi, anyone seen a good place with a comprehensive catalog of TSB ROM versions (different years, etc)?

Might have someone mod a NES Classic Mini and want to pimp it with a good selection of TSB versions.

      ---------------------------------
      I've seen:
      1) This url (TecmoBowl.org "ROMs by year") has a few options...
      2) ... and TecmoSB.com (clicky) has a link for "TSB Roms Collection <=== last update: 11/16/2014."  I haven't been able to open this one, but it appears to have so many ROMs, that some years have 5-10+ versions.
      ---------------------------------

Figured by now, someone may have already edited a good catalog list somewhere.  nbd if not.

When I was at the Detroit Kumite tournament last weekend, a number of players from the Cleveland area who I had never met before attended as well and we all had a great time!  Many of these guys already get together a few times a year to play casual Tecmo Super Bowl at various venues.     I collected emails and some cell phone numbers for players that wanted to provide one.  This post is to see who would be interested in getting together potentially quarterly to play Tecmo Super Bowl and perhaps consider doing a Fantasy Football League in the fall for anyone who enjoys both Tecmo and Fantasy Football and lives in or near Northeast Ohio.   If this is something that interests you, please message me and provide your email address and cell phone number, as I will be creating a text distribution group in addition to the email distribution list once we finalize the initial details.  If you could also let me know ideas for places to meet, how many systems, cartridges, controllers and TVs you would be willing to share with the group, that would also be helpful.   The idea is to simply get a group of great guys together semi regularly who enjoy both Tecmo Super Bowl and NFL football.   Thanks in advance for your consideration.  More to follow after I collect everyone's thoughts and responses.

All that I will announce at this time is that there WILL be an epic Tecmo Super Bowl tournament in Seattle, Washington Sunday, Labor Day weekend and that Seahawks Legend and new NFL Hall of Fame member Kenny Easley will be honored in some way.

Though he may not find his way on the 8-bit gridiron on this day (or perhaps he will??), David Fulcher, Joey Browner and other hard-hitting, ball-hawking safeties certainly will, evoking memories of #45 in blue and white.

      Save the date!

      1. DT
      2. MAD MANYO (highest possible prestige level achieved)
      3. Kamphuna (tremendous amount of prestige achieved)
      4. Tick (of course, going in pretty much the order of prestige I envisioned)
      5. Tailback King (if he can crack the code of what day it is)
      6. Who else wants the most prestige by chiming in, thusly elevating their name toward the top of the list??

This ROM is a 2017 update to the 1996 SNES release of College Slam, the NCAA version of NBA Jam.  In the original game, there were no players - just generic names like "PT GUARD," "CENTER," etc.  I have edited all the names to reflect the top five players from all 44 included teams.  I've updated the names, player ratings, appearances, and a couple of team names (FSU becomes Florida State, UNC becomes North Carolina).

As an added bonus, when you press UP-DOWN-LEFT-RIGHT-UP-DOWN-LEFT-RIGHT on the title screen, you can unlock 9 extra teams.  I've edited these as well.  The unlockable teams are the 2010 thru 2016 All-American teams, BaronROMs University, and the East Side Crew (folks I grew up with who traveled between each other's houses, having SNES TSB and NBA Jam parties on the weekends).  Enjoy!

The complete list of teams available is:
      Alabama
      Arizona
      Arkansas
