Recommended Posts

What are some of your best Team, end of season stats?

Here's mine.

Offense Yards

Total Offense -  6717 - Rams

Passing Yards - 6274 - Rams

Rushing Yards - 3437 - Raiders

Defensive Yards

Total Defense - 1749 - Vikings

Passing Yards - 1195 - Cardinals

Rushing Yards - 312 - Dolphins

Points For - 988 - Vikings

Points Against - 71 - Vikings

I couldn't break 1000 points with the Vikings, although real close.  I think I can break the 1000 point mark with the 49ers.  I just hate using them.

Mine are for the SNES TSB1................. ( which is a tad harder to run on. Players don't dive and miss tackles like in the NES.)

Also, in COA mode of course. Not really far off from yours actually.  8-)

Offense-

overall 5943 yds. ( 49ers )

pass 5746 yds. ( 49ers )

rush 3006 yds. ( Cowboys)

Defense-

overall 2017 yds. ( Chargers )

pass 892 yds. ( Packers )

rush 642 yds. ( Steelers )

I wish I kept better stats throughout my younger days. I'm playing a season right now with the 9ers (maybe my first ever) to see what I can do. I know it's not the real thing, but check out this season I put together with Aaron Rogers on TSB '13:

Apparently there's a cap on the amount of passing yards you can amass. Counting up the receiving totals the real numbers are actually 8,544 and 111 TD's.

I thought maybe I'd be able to compete with this season with Montana but I can't seem to get close.

Finished my 9ers season. Underrated aspect of attempted this with the 9ers: Their 1st place schedule. Okoye and Neil in weeks 16 and 17 kicked my ass. It did allow me to score more points though. I may try an all out offensive season with the Oilers next just to see. Not impressed without vids.

If playbooks were changed and/or NT glitch was used this wouldn't seem so impressive.

Also, I'd like to see people's stats on a juiced version of the Original ROM.

I understand - but I didn't change any plays except my own (SF). Didn't reset, etc. I don't even know how to do the NT glitch effectively (didn't do it at all) Typically played with Haley.

Obviously, nobody is going to record every game through the season.

I do have the final save state.

No NT glitch was used.

I always change my playbook, but never my opponent.

Nice, but I must say I love the running game. I'm curious to what stats would look like if someone used a balanced offence. Tried it TSB SNES but Watters gets in BAD condition and I resort back to Young airing it out.

I just won the Super Bowl with the 9'ers and had extremely similar stats.  I think I ended with 800+ points and gave up a little less than 150.  The stats for MOntanta and Rice were almost identicle.  I think the key is defense creating turnovers.  I probably picked Romanowski about 10 times during the season, and 5 of those 10 led to 50+ yard scores...lol. I crushed the chiefs but Neil Anderson got me too at the end.  He lit me up.

I started a season with the Chargers, first time ever, and they're a fun team to play with.  I never realized how good their defense was.  In 3 games I've wracked up 7 picks by the CPU, 2 against Montana.
