TSB Editor - TSBTool Supreme - Season Generator

OK - maybe I am an idiot, but I downloaded the tool and I can't access the command prompt. how the heck do i do that? Basically I open it up and I see the command prompt in the background for a split second, but then the GUI opens and the command prompt disappears and I can't figure out how to access it. When I close the GUI, I see the command prompt close again for a split second. The GUI works fine and I'm using Vista if that matters. Any help would be awesome.

If you want to use it from the command prompt, you can.

Type "TSBToolSupreme /?" to see the various options.

If you double click it or call it from the command line with no arguments it assumes GUI mode and it'll hide the command prompt.

Sorry I'm very uninformed but what is a "standard in"? I want to find an easy way to put excel spreadsheet data into TSBtoolsupreme.

What I mean is I want to avoid manually adding all the commas and formatting?

Maybe I need to work with Excel to determine a better way to output the file.

Not sure if this will help anyone, but I made a kind of blank shell in excel to use for making 32 team roms. It is based off of the excel sheet Rod used for the 2006 repository rom. I find it easier to edit teams when each team has their own separate sheet, but at the same time that you enter data into the team sheets the "Master" sheet gets updated. When you are done with all the teams you save the "Master" sheet as a .csv file and pop it into Tool. Then all you have to do in Tool is edit faces and numbers (you can obviously change the numbers in excel also, but if you have to search for both you might as well do them at the same time), and probably team info like playbooks and formations.

Two Questions!!!

1. I can only edit one teams colors, it only changes the bills colors, what do i do?

2. Is there an option to change team names that I may be overlooking?

As far as I know, color editing works for all teams. Is anyone else seeing a problem here?

Which ROM are you using (32 team or 28 team)?

If it's a 28 team ROM, try doing it on the original and see how that works.

do the players have to be lined up in order for you to import with tsb tool

for example

do they have to be

qb1

qb2

or can it be whatever ordeR?

do the players sim ratings have to be in there or is that optional

and do you have to have the schedule at the bottom?

most extractors/roms/whatever uses the terms db1/lb1 type thing

i know on the tsb rom it has rcb/rolb

type thing

can u have it interchangable or no

and im sure it was answered b4............can u use this on the 32 team rom.

Player order shouldn't matter.

Sim ratings are optional.

You don't need to have the schedule, but if you schedule games, I think you need to schedule all of them.

Schedule doesn't need to be at the bottom.

The input parser Keys off of 'TEAM' and 'WEEK' to toggle between schedule mode and team/player modification mode.

I've always tested the program using the input order the tool spits out, so it's possible that you could find new program defects if you vary the order of stuff.

db1/lb1 will not work (but if you have data in that format, it should be easy to do a find and replace on 'db1' with 'RCB' ect...)

Yes, this works on the 32 team ROM.

I've noticed that when you change the team formation it doesn't put the players in the right spots on your roster. For example, when you change it to a 3WR formation (like WAS or SD), it shows 1RB-3WR-1TE on the team data screen but the third WR is still RB2. You have to label the third receiver you want on the field as RB2 in TSBTool to have him as a starter. (And obviously make one of the RBs a WR.)

I know this doesn't matter much, but it would be nice if it automatically put WR3 in the RB2 slot when you switch the formation.

first off, hats off to BAD_AL for these kickass rom editing programs and GUI, as well as cxrom and anyone else involved in the 32 team TSB rom project... you have reinvigorated (is that even a real word?) everyone's interest in UNQUESTIONABLY the greatest football game ever... i just recently logged back on after a long hiatus to find this pleasant surprise... now onto my questions

1.) while using the TSBTool Supreme GUI, i edited my formations, for instance i changed the Colts to 1RB_3WR_1TE, and did the same to every other team who run pretty much feature backs and 3 wides... after editing several teams and saving the game, while loading the game and going into TEAM DATA, i noticed "Manning" was the default starter in every slot, QB thru PR and all my other starters just disappeared from the game somehow... on top of all this, the game froze just prior to kickoff... is there a limit to how many team formations you can edit, just curious?

2.) has anyone come up with a playswapper for the 32 team rom? when i attempt to use the old TSBM1.3, the game freezes... for instance in my old rom i used to swap out "Pro T Waggle R" in P1 for "Shotgun XY Bomb" in P4 so there would be a shotgun option in P1 instead of a 1001 bootleg plays, which i considered useless

once i've adjusted this rom to my preference, i will be sure to zip up the rom and share... it will include uniform adjustments, adjusted formations and/or starters, swapped plays, and adjusted plays (i'm getting used to the TSB Playmaker, can you say "West Coast Offense", kids?!)... there will be no tinkering with the stats and or speed hack etc, since the game is perfect otherwise... hopefully i can get this done soon, as the 2008-09 season is upon us and we'll be starting from scratch by then,

BAD_AL, there's some sort of bug with "Rams" uniforms - the ALT jerseys aren't right in Action Sequence...like, when using Regular Jersey, the ALT is shown in action sequences...something like that.

There's another jersey bug I've found, and it only pertains to a couple of teams (NFC West I think), but can't quite remember right now :? - something with the ALT jersey select screen actually doing the opposite - a checked box will make regular and unchecked will make ALT.

the nfc west is most likely a glitch in the rom, not his editor. i'll look into fixing this for good and a couple of other things.

you mean the entire text??? that's a lot for you to look thru, man... i just tried to include all the text but the forums says "The maximum number of allowed characters is 60000."

in short, i changed only the Rams to 1RB_4WR, and the following teams to 1RB_3WR_1TE:

Instead of pasting the text into your reply, you could also zip it up and upload it as an attachment.

Anyway, I applied your data to a 32 team ROM that I had laying around and I did not notice the defects you mentioned.

You may need to post the whole file.

sorry took so long to get back... just got my new pda phone, so you know what had the priority this weekend... lol

i just tried it again and it appears to be fine now... this time i didnt choose "save data" i just choose" apply to rom", which could've been the mistake all along... i will zip it (actually .rar it) as is for you to peek at, then once i adjust the lineups and plays, i will be back to upload my "tweaked" version... at first the formations were driving me up the wall, but i was learning to live with it if it couldnt happen for me... i realize beggars cant be choosy

Has anyone found a solution to the NFC West glitch? You can't edit the team's uniforms correctly or set which colors they will use against other opponents.
