TheFes75 Posted May 8, 2013 Share Posted May 8, 2013 I know the NFL did not keep sacks as an official stat until 1982, but does anyone know if there is a website that has the statistics (sacks) teams kept prior to 1982...specifically 1980 & 1981. I know you can find out how many sacks the team had in a given game prior to 1982, but I have been unable to find any record of individual sacks prior to 1982. I read a few articles on a guy who has gone through years of game film and box scores and has compiled an un-official list of career sacks prior to 1982, but I haven't seen a published list.
