2016 MvG Challenge - COA MODE (2 of 2 COMPLETE), COMET (27 of 28)

Hello gentlemen,

I'm going to COACH a season with all 28 teams on the original Tecmo Super Bowl for NES (by the end of 2016) and try to win as many games and championships as possible, using stock playbooks and starting lineups!

I've only COA moded a grand total of 2 or 3 games on this game in total, thus I feel like it would be a nice change-up while sticking to a great title! I'll probably lead off with a good team just to get my feet wet and we'll see where it goes from there.  Happy New Year all.

***ADDENDUM***

I scrapped the COACH challenge on March 12, 2016 due to boredom and enacted the MvG COMET BOWL Challenge for the rest of 2016 where I am to play a season with all 28 teams using all offensive backups all the time, using the backup TE as KR and PR.  This will probably be my last such Man v. Game Challenge v. Tecmo Super Bowl, as this will be the 5th run through in total (3 on the NES version and 2 on the SNES version) and I'm kind of getting bored of it.  I hope this sparks me in the interim.  Take care, gentlemen.

Trevor

Banged out a few seasons with Cincinnati and Atlanta...tried to give away that Super Bowl v. NYG with CIN, but we barely hung on lol.

Harold Green became the first (only?) 1000 yard rusher in this run of COMET Bowl.  Deion Sanders got 38 sacks and 5 INT for 34 yards in the ATL season.

I hope to have some stats up soon...maybe Top 5s in each category, Top Backup TE stats, best of the COMET Scabs (the actual starters who got to play due to injury).  I still have to manually tab the ATL season, so hopefully/probably after that.  Cheers, gendlemen!

I have since completed the Denver, Chicago, and Philadelphia seasons with only Buffalo to go.  I won the Super Bowl with the 3 teams in question, unfortunately however, the Houston Oilers dashed my 85+ game win streak when they beat my Iggles, 22-9.

Johnny Bailey made what looks to be a successful bid for the 2016 MvG Comet Bowl MVP as he put up the below stats.

RUSH 173-1747-28

REC 31-400-17

WR Mike Quick and QB Jim McMahon also put up spectacular seasons for the Eagles as well (I have yet to tab the stats).  I normally try to get the backups injured in this contest when there are studs on the bench like QB Eagles, Barry Sanders, Bo Jackson, etc.

I might also put together ALL-COMET BOWL and ALL- COMET BOWL SCAB (default starters) teams to boot so stay tuned...1 to go!
